Beautiful hotel and well kept/very clean! Our bathroom tub didn’t drain well but we understand the hotel is older so we didn’t mind this. All of our needs were met and it was so fun being able to walk everywhere nearby! Only minor complaint is the strong perfume smell as my husband is sensitive to smells.

The Menger is a staple in San Antonio. It’s a beautiful hotel with one of the main features, The Roosevelt bar. Beautiful hand made oak and redwood bar.

Beautiful hotel. Old but well maintained. It is beautiful. Pool clean and refreshing. East walk to The Alamo and Tge Riverwalk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Loved the historical part and location, but the room was small, and the lavatory and shower/tub were tiny and bately adequate. I realize this is due to being a historical hotel and cannot be changed. The shower dripped all night.

Menger Magic

Room was clean and attractive. Bathroom was very brightly lit. Beds were comfortable. Refrigerator to keep our drinks cold was very appreciated. Ice machine was only a few yards away. No microwave which was disappointing. Wonderful balcony view over the swimmming pool. The courtyard garden was delightful. I urge visitors to check it out immediately. Perfect for pictures. Valet parking was inconvenient and pricey although the attendees were friendly.

Perfect charming hotel

Beautiful, historic hotel. Perfect. 10 second walk to the Alamo. Across the street from the Riverwalk. 10 minute walk to the Tower of the Americas & the Alamodome. San Fernando Cathedral right up the block. Will stay there the next time I'm in town.

The Menger Hotel is a very beautiful historical hotel. The furnishings and decor are stunning and the added garden makes for a very quiet and comfortable setting. The bathrooms are small but the rooms are very nicely furnished. We enjoyed the restaurant for a buffet breakfast. Also, the valet parking make coming and going to the hotel very easy. The Menger Hotel is very conveniently located to the Riverwalk, the Alamo, the River Center Shopping Center, La Villita, the King William historical area and many of the popular sites in downtown San Antonio. This makes it a perfect location to stay if you want to see San Antonio/

Beautiful historic hotel. Clean. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing location to Riverwalk and Alamo. Keep in mind the age of the hotel, the water pressure, temperature and AC temp was not consistent. That being my only complaint I would definitely stay there again and recommend people to stay there.

I love that the Riverwalk was so close and that shopping, dining and attractions were within an easy walking distance. For some reason my TV didn't work right, just kept flashing and not showing a picture, so I just used the WiFi to stream on my tablet.
