Lovely and quiet

Perfect spot on the outskirts of Seminyak. If you're not a walker you will need a taxi to the heart of Seminyak but they're easily available. The villas were great - plenty of space, privacy and very tranquil surroundings - felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Only ate breakfast and it was ok. Rhi who looked after us most mornings was completely adorable. All the other staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool at our villa had a bit of algae growing on the bottom so was a bit slippery but it was ok for a quick cool off - in contrast the main pool was spotless and a good size. There are only 2 things that need to change; 1. Fans in the bedroom and lounge area - it would make a huge difference and avoid the need for having the AC on 2. Somewhere to hang towels / clothes in the bathroom - just a couple of hooks would have been handy or a clothes airer. Not major things but would definitely make a bit more comfortable. All in all would definitely recommend and will probably go back :-)

Private paradise

We arrived late evening to be escorted to our villa by one of the friendliest people you could ever wish to meet. The whole place was lit up and the first impressions were absolute WOW. The following day after a good nights sleep we settled in, yes some of the furniture shows signs of wear... so what it all still functioned perfectly. Breakfast arrived at the time we had asked and yet again it was perfect, served by more amazing staff. Have a look round, yes the new pool and villas were still under construction, but caused absolutely no problems (workers were very friendly and quite funny.. we had loads of laughs) we had dinner in the restaurant on site, we were the only diners that night so were again spoiled by the staff. Overall these villas were exactly as described with the added bonus of very dedicated staff. If you understand that these villas are not brand new and it is Bali, you cannot go wrong, good restaurants nearby, cheap taxi ride to town if that's what you want, or total seclusion and privacy. Just as a comparison for you, I spend 200 bucks on a hotel room near Melbourne airport the night before I travelled, the staff were arrogant and unhelpful and the room was a disgrace, mould everywhere I know where I would rather be. The guys and girls at the Bali aroma have sent me photos of the finished pool ... would you get that anywhere else?? And I want to say a big thanks for the very interesting conversations I had with staff about Bali, its history and culture

Too expensive, too dated

Aroma Villas in Seminyak was a disappointment. We stayed here one night only in a two bedroom villa. My impression of the Villa is it is about 20 years old and the owners haven't spent the money to keep it looking fresh and vibrant. There is much better value in Seminyak for rooms that are more modern, better appointed and with better staff. My complaints are the main pool area was a building site with sand and pavers littered around, the wifi rarely worked and dropped out a lot, the office staff were friendly but didn't have a competent command of English and the furnishings were dated. I needed to make a phone call but was told none of the phones in the room actually work and the staff weren't able to assist me in making a call from the front desk, although he did suggest he might get in a phone technician. On the upside the room was clean.

A great experience

It's is everything that is stated in the explanation. Friendly staff, fine rooms and WiFi. The pools and open air living were amazing. Took a bit of getting used to with open bathroom, but still great. Only complaint is that the was nowhere to put soap when having a shower. I am sure this will be added though. They are adding an big pool for all uses as per feedback. Was a great choice!

What a wonderful experience

Management and the staff were very friendly, they always greeted you with a smile with a warm hello every day. They took an interest in you and your family. Helped with your plans for the day to ensure you got the best out of it. The rooms were spacious and clean. The garden, outdoor area and pool was kept very tidy. If you wanted privacy or just spend a day by your pool, then your wishes were respected.

Bali style villas.

My husband and two children 9 and 15 enjoyed our stay here. We had a two bedroom villa which was spacious with a good size pool. Breakfast was served to our villa each morning. There was a good selection but the coffee was always cold. The staff were very friendly, smiling and helpful. Very private and peaceful. The negatives were there were no tea or coffee making facilities in our villa even though there was a microwave and stove? Big plus was that you could walk to the beach through a field and if energetic walk all the way to Legian. We did most days. The main road also had a lovely cafe, money changer and deli close by. Overall very nice 'Bali style' villas and would return. A communial pool is also being built and finished by September.

A home away from home with extras!

Bali Aroma Exclusive Villas were an absolute delight to stay in. The rooms were large and airy with plent of storage space and the air conditioning was excellent. The outdoors areas were a main attraction for us with an outdoor covered gazebo that we could sit in under in comfort to watch the kids play in the clean private pool, or just relax and read. Having an outdoor kitchen was fabulous with an 8 seater dining table , everyone was comfotable. The setting is tranquil and private, a great spot to unwind and relax for a group, couple or a family. A highlight of the Villa is the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and their willingness to be friendly and accomodating was commendable. The foos was delicious with generous portions! The room service was used extensivly by the kids on the days "in" and was a big hit. By the time we left we felt like we had made good friends with the staff, who once again were super friendly and kind with the kids, but not invasive at all. I highly recommend these Villas.

A true Bali Stay

My husband and I along with two other couples had a short three night stay at the Villas and we left wishing we had made it a longer stay. I had read some disappointing reviews and so was surprised to find that our accommodation in a one bed villa with it's private pool and outside inside bathroom to be wonderful. Yes there is work going on with new building but this was no inconvenience. The setting is so tropical and typically Bali, the location great with fabulous restaurants just up the road and the massage salons wonderful. the beach is just a short walk. The staff are so helpful and their bright and happy smiles greet you when ever they see you always enquiring how they can help. We are planning to go back again next year.

Cannot recommend highly enough!

We stayed at Bali Aroma for 10 days on our honeymoon. Our villa was beautiful and exactly as we had expected, location is peaceful with the beach a short two minute walk away. We were initially a little wary of the open kitchen/living room/bathroom although we found that we really weren't bothered by too many critters and by keeping the doors to the bedroom shut we kept any wildlife that may have been tempted to come in at bay! Staff went out of their way to help and make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, and remembered our names from day 1. The only negatives were that some of the fixtures and fittings were a little on the rusty side and there were some cobwebs around the lights etc. although this really did not detract from our overall enjoyment of our holiday at all. In the local area there are a few little shops and places to eat, or Seminyak town is only a few minutes cab ride away for a wider variety of shops/restaurants. The hotel staff are always happy to offer advice on places to go and to call cabs if you should want to go anywhere. All in all a very enjoyable stay and I really cannot recommend Bali Aroma Exclusive Villas highly enough!

Family Vacation

I just stayed at the Bali Aroma Villas for 8 nights. We rented a two room pool villa for 2 adults and 3 kids. After a short drive off the main road we were greeted by the friendly staff. They took care of everything from taxi's to tours. While we tried many of the different restaurants around the city we quite enjoyed the food on site. Not only was it reasonably priced it was also very good. Breakfast was simple but excellent, I suggest trying the Black Pudding at least once. It took at little getting used to the outdoor washroom and shower but once you did it was great. If we are ever fortunate to make it back to Bali I will definitely stay here again.

Great space & gardens

We chose this hotel for the space of the villa and the gardens and we were not disappointed. The villas are located around a massive central garden which was really nice. There is no direct beach access so you need to walk along the main street to get to the beach but with a pool you probably don't need to go up to the beach. Better to grab a cab into the main street of seminyak for restaurants, shopping etc.

Relaxing Accommodation not too far from the action

This was our first trip to Bali so can't compare to other accommodation. The Villa was great, beautiful pool and lots of space. The outdoor bathroom was nice but sometimes impractical. The staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much for them. The Villas are a little out of Seminyak Square but only a $2.50 taxi ride away. If you're after a nice peaceful relaxing place stay you couldn't go too fat wrong with the Bali Aroma Villas.

It's good not exactly in Semniyak area. You can find cabs to move around, plenty of massage center near by not so great but cheap for $7 foot massage.

Basic villa with minimal amenities. Breakfast is forgettable, so it might be useful to just eat the fruits and search for more fortifying stuff elsewhere. Pool was nice but bed was too soft and frame squeaky.

Family bliss

Bali Aroma is total bliss. The staff are gracious, attentive, polite and friendly. Our two bedroom villa was sensational. The outdoor bathrooms are brilliant. The pool was lovely. Beds comfy. TV perfect. The outdoor daybed was great. My husband and I went with our two kids (5&7), we had such a great time. The villas surround beautifully manicured gardens. Breakfast was delivered on time with huge options: Indonesia, continental, America inc: pancakes, cereals, Bali coffee, pastries, bacon, eggs, sausages...heaps of choice!! Short walk to the beach. Only negative was that the Wi-Fi is not the best. Highly recommend this tranquil oasis.

Great stay in Bali

We had a 5-day stay at Bali Aroma with our three year-old and it was great. The plunge pool was perfect for him and the grounds were ideal. The staff, though lacking in real English fluency went out of their way to be helpful (early coffee in the morning for me, a birthday cake for my wife and they remembered the little requests from day to day). Onsite services were good too (massage). They can also arrange free transport from the airport. A couple of notes. First, this hotel is not on "the strip". It is near enough to get ther with a 20,000 rupiah cab ride (about $2), and in my mind much more quiet and relaxing. Secondly, the beach is indeed a walk across a cow pasture and over a little river, but it is easy to navigate. The restaurants at the end of the street are good. Naughty Nuri's serves ribs, and the restaurant just across the street (can't remember the name) is really nice with Indonesian food, but go early. For the location, it gets very busy. Final tip - we used Bali Made Tours to show us around Bali. Made and Nowa were great and well worth the money.

Paradise in Bali

This is the place to go, and we certainly will be returning. You can stay in the fantastic accommodation, or you can go to the beach. OK the bridge to the beach is not the best in the world but it gets you there. For a $2.00 taxi ride you can go to any number of fantastic restaurants, Biku, Metis, Sarong and a excellent Japanese restaurant Dahana all at good prices. Wine is expensive but that's the tax, and not their fault. I suggest you raid the duty free before you get there if you want wine. Beer is cheap, drink the local stuff its not bad at all. The standard of meals coming out of the villas kitchen are excellent and can be delivered to your villa, at no extra cost. Breakfast was delivered everyday from a choice of 4 different menus, and always by polite staff. All in all this was a 5 star paradise and i would thoroughly recommend these villas to anyone. What was really good is that there were no hidden charges at the end of the stay. I would like to give my thanks to all the staff for making our stay an enjoyable one.

Loved it!!!

Brilliant, staff couldn't do enough to help us. Room always spotless, breakfast on time. Staff organised motorbike for us, also scuba diving, white water rafting, taxi etc. All with a big smile! Fantastic!

comfortable stay in Bali

This hotel is near airport. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the private pools. Surrounding area is serene and walking distance to the beach. You could enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
