The family room shouldn’t be advertised suitable for a family. Starting with having the toilet inside the bathroom. The toilet had an opaque door but the shower didn’t which meant only one person could use the bathroom at a time. The small dining table had just one dining chair. We had to drag over the heavy armchair and footstool but that left one of us to sit on the bed to eat. There was no door or screening between the primary bed and the two single beds, which meant we took turns to use the bathroom to dress. The breakfast options are very limited. Unless you buy into the overpriced buffet breakfast you are left with just the option of the ‘grab and go’ items from Smithy’s restaurant. We couldn’t find the Cloud9 bar. The only room on the 9th floor is a conference room which was set up like an intervention. I feel for the SES, who do such a great job as attendees would be left traumatised coming out of that room. The parking price of $32 listed on Hotels.com is wrong and should only mention it’s 50% off the standard parking price. Overnight parking currently costs $36.50. On the positive, the room was very quiet and we didn’t hear any outside noise from the airport. It’s a 2 minute walk to the terminal. We bought breakfast from McDonald’s, within the terminal, which was so much cheaper, plus a bonus is earning loyalty points if you use the Macca’s app.

Great accommodations with easy access to early fli

Friendly greeting upon arrival. Short walk from terminal 1 to the Hotel - scant 5 minute walk. Surrounding area was clean, well-lit with smooth walkways. Bar had good food assortment, and drinks.
