I booked a moderate double room and compared it to a friend who I was with who also booked a moderate double room. The rooms were not the same size. The room I booked was so much smaller than the other and when I went to front desk to inquire about I was informed if I would like to upgrade to a bigger room I would have to pay extra. I explained the difference in room size and I shouldn’t have to pay for a bigger room when I should receive the room I booked and paid for. Below is the “moderate double”.

The washing machine inside the room is definetly the best! Also the sizes of the room, for Japan is really nice.

First the location was great and saved a bunch of time. A couple of complaints though: 1 could not turn lights out for most of the room without pulling the room key and shutting all the lights off. Also we didn't get any cleaning service (chose the in room cleaning option). The staff were mixed with their English and were young and friendly but not super friendly. Cool toilet seat and nice lobby with free coffee.

Great Place to Stay

This was a last minute booking when the ryokan my friend and I had booked had zero staff and no way for us to get in. We weren’t there long but it ended up being respite in a night of disaster. Plus, there was a washing machine in the room which was super handy.

This hotel is an excellent option for Shinjuku. It is one block from the station and a half hour walk to Kabukicho with the nearest Mega Don Quixote store - an essential aspect of any Japan trip. Everything you might need (groceries, Don’s, Lawsons) or want is within walking distance. The available breakfast was basically a fridge offering small boxed meals and a coffee maker so we opted for the nearby Denny’s which cost of 1300 yen ($12 cad) for breakfast for two and the meal choices were excellent. The only drawback was that the phone in my room didn’t work and they bc some to service the room at the most inconvenient times. They won’t service them after 1 pm. Otherwise, the room was small but sufficiently spacious enough for two. I enjoyed my stay here.

About 20 minute walk from Shinjuku station. Very quiet area, with a nearby 24 hour supermarket, restaurants, cafe and attached to a McDonalds. Rooms are quite spacious for Tokyo with high ceilings, washing machine and a comfortable bed.

The hotel is very conveniently located in a quieter part of the city, but still within walking distance to Shinjuku Station (about 20 minutes), where you’ll find plenty of places to eat and shop. If you’d rather stay close by, there are also lots of great restaurant options in the neighborhood. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout my stay. A few things to keep in mind when booking: - Housekeeping is limited — towels are only changed and trash bins emptied upon request. - Skip the breakfast add-on. It’s not worth the extra cost. The hotel offers frozen meals you prepare yourself, and there are much better (and fresher) options nearby. I’d recommend picking up food from one of the many convenience stores (I counted four on the same street), or stocking your fridge with easy breakfast items. There’s even a 24-hour grocery store just two blocks away.

Two adults two teens stayed in a Quad room (2 singles, teens on bench seating) in Jan 2025 for 4 nights. To make the compact room work with kids sleeping on the benches we pushed the dining table to the foot of the single beds, made it much more spacious. Hotel feels new and immaculately clean. We had our own washer dryer in our bathroom, so convenient! Dryer works fine if don't overload machine (about half full). Hotel is short walk from Nishi Shinjuku Gochome subway station on Oedo Line. We got lost in Shinjuku Station EVERY TIME we were in there so eventually avoided it and used subway to change stations literally anywhere else. Subway is frequent, fast and so convenient. We opted not to get hotel breakfast (limited packaged options that you take back to your room?) and instead ate breakfast at Denny's overlooking Chuo Park every morning - cheap and tasty with heaps of options. Hotel walkable to the park and Metropolitan Government Building. Front desk staff had limited English but very polite. Luggage forwarding to hotels or airport by "Airporter" service booked and paid online (not at front desk) then just leave luggage at front desk. Worked great, picked up at Narita airport. We enjoyed this hotel and convenience of subway station so close and would happily stay here again.

The Tokyu Stay in Nishi-Shinjuku was absolutely amazing. From the rooms to the staff they were the best of the best. The room was clean and fully stocked when we got there and the staff even offered to help us up to our room which we thanked them for but denied. They even helped us out when we mistakenly sent some of our lugage to a different Tokyu Stay just a few miles away. They called the hotel and let them know we would be picking the luggage up as soon as we could. Thank you for the hospitality we hope to visit again.
