The staff member explained the matter in a blunt and arrogant manner, even suggesting that if I was dissatisfied, I could consider staying elsewhere. In addition, there appears to be a flaw in the hotel’s door design, as the noise from closing any room door can be clearly heard across the entire floor.

Great location, cannot fault! Walk to the strand, walk to the stadium, Sunday markets on the doorstep. The room cleanliness was disappointing, it had mold over the bathroom door and on the ceiling in the main room area. Assess to the motel with a car to check in was frustrating as it only has a small loading zone at the front of building and another one at the rear which was at peak times unavailable. Car park for the motel is an external which doesn’t connect directly to motel through basement, not a major just inconvenient.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Grand Chancellor. Gian is a remarkable employee who checked us in and helped with taxi bookings, breakfast bookings and all our other needs. We would like to thank Gian very much. Would highly recommend staying here as it was so convenient and met all our needs. Very happy customers indeed and we will be back.

Hotel is nice and central and an easy walk to the QCB stadium (the reason we go there in the first place). It needs a bit of TLC, looking old, cracked vanity, loose taps and again, rooftop pool not working- 3rd year in a row. Staff are great especially given what they have to work with. Place is very clean and food good.
