Loved this hotel.. BUT when you get to the airport go to the “water taxi” lane and take a boat directly to the hotel which is located on a a canal and has a launch. The water taxi is $180e but well worth the direct trip…. Great area. Will definitely stay here again.

Good: Espacious room for Venice standards 24 hrs. and very friendly staff Since is located in Venice "downtown" there is a lot of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Nice decor To improve: The AC control was a little bit tricky to set The shower need maintenance although was functional All around: I would definitely stay there again.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They helped us book a private transfer to the cruise port in Ravenna also a water taxi. This really helped us a lot and reduced our stress. The only comment would be to get a shower curtain or a door in the bathroom other than that, the hotel was fantastic location fantastic staff.

Fantastic hotel with lots of original character. Great location and very kicky to have a canal view junior suite that overlooked the Bridge of Sighs. Location is very central but hotel is quiet. Breakfast is a fairly basic buffet but the staff were great and very friendly. Would definitely stay again next time we visit Venice.

Loved the location but hotel needs improvement

Location is perfect, just 5 minutes from San Marco piazza and it has its own water taxi stop (if not high tide)! We loved the location. But as for hotel room, it had a mild sewer stench especially in the bathroom, and the air conditioning was not enough for the summer heat. The housekeeping staff were not friendly, they would pass us by as if not seeing us, but the porters and kitchen staff were very friendly. Reception staff okay. I guess the high price of the room is because of the location.

Enjoy Venice!

Very cute and quiet hotel conveniently located close to St Marks Square. Staff was friendly at check in. We had breakfast included with our stay. Very centrally located w/ gelato options & restaurants throughout the area. A few things to keep in mind. We asked the front desk about airport return transport & the only option we were given was to have the hotel arrange private water taxi (motorboat) for $200 payable by cash only. Only after asked if there were other options did he offer the option to take a water bus, accessible by a 10 min walk from hotel. It stops at a handful of docks before VCE arrival at a cost of 18 euro, $24 roughly. When I asked for a reminder of how to get to the dock after checking out, (as I chose the water bus) the staff person seemed a little perturbed that I asked for directions to the dock. It seemed strange that at a cost of $200, the hotel only accepted cash for the service offered. On the same day when I visited the brkfst buffet the staff person noticed that I was leaving and offered to put together a to go brkfst for me. Very nice of her although only after she asked that I have the front desk person call her to tell her it was okay. The front desk person seemed a little confused by his colleagues request as well. If you have kids traveling with you the to go brkfst is a good choice as it comes with crackers, packaged sugar treats and mini juice boxes. For adults, try and make time for the hot breakfast. Enjoy!

We loved this place! We had a balcony room overlooking the canal with a gorgeous view of a garden. The staff was great with questions, and the breakfast was fabulous. The Colombino is very close to everything, and has a special tour of Murano, so we cancelled our planned trip and saved some money. Great hotel and highly recommend!
