The experience checking in to the hotel was frustrating. We had just driven 7 hours to get to the hotel and before I knew what was happening my bags were whisked away and I was ushered up to the check in desk which is on floor 23. Of course the first thing asked for was a Passport which was in my bags which had disappeared so then I had to wait for my bags to come back again. I then had to go through the process of learning where everything is and where all the places are in the hotel to spend money and then had to install an app on my phone and be shown all the details on that when all I wanted to do was get to my room and use the bathroom.
My room was supposedly upgraded but it was very cramped although the bathroom was spectacular and very spacious. The pool area was nice but service was not very good and the wait time was long, I ordered a cocktail but it was basically a 500thb glass of orange juice that maybe had alcohol in it? The restaurant and buffet breakfast was outstanding though. The main reason for my stay was access to Centralworld but it was not very clear how to access the centre.
