The hotel was really quite good and the staff were great (especially Harold at the front desk). The lower rating on facilities is related to the rooftop ‘lounge’. It closes at 8:00 pm and therefore was not available as a place to relax after dinner or a day of sightseeing. The hotel’s website has photos of the rooftop that depict an active area with a tended bar in the evening. This is not accurate. There is no bar (closed) and again, the space is not accessible in the evening.

Very convenient as central hub for exploring Barcelona on foot. Staff pleasant and rooms very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Only real complaint was the wifi quality was poor.

I loved everything about the hotel- convenient to dining, local sites, located in quiet tree lined street, very friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed. Then the other guests returned from their day out and about- and I realized the walls were paper thin! I could hear the guests in the next room use the bathroom, hear their phone ring, hear their conversation, hear them coughing! At one point around 11pm one guest at one end of the hall yelled to those at the other end if the hall to be quiet. And they weren’t extremely loud- you could just hear EVERYTHING! No carpeting in the rooms or hallways to absorb sound made this so much worse.

A very pleasant stay

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. We thought it was good value. The rooms were modern, secure, comfortable. There were only a few things we would change: there were no hot drink facilities, the drainage is a little loud from rooms upstairs, the flush to our toilet keep running at times. Could also hear people in corridor clearly, maybe heavier doors are needed. But those are small things and we really liked our stay of 4 nights. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
