Great and modern hotel, rooms and facilities. They offer a variety of activities to do for free across the week. Staff were helpful and friendly. Greay variety of hot food, fruits and pastries alongside juices and coffee for breakfast. Breakfast and the bar are also on the rooftop whoch overlooks the city. Great location within walking distance of most things and a subway if you're exploring further out. Definitely recommend!

Very loud at night from outside . We didn’t feel safe to walk around at night . Bathrooms floors needs asap renovation . It is not a 4 star hotel comparing to another 4 star hotels around the world and Barcelona . I stayed previously in 4 star hotel in Barcelona and that was a 4 star hotel … not this one

Very friendly staff , hot water & lots of nearby shops . Got bitten by 3 mosquitoes inside the room , arm in agony after getting bitten . Homeless people sleeping outside hotel screaming and shouting at night . Also Barcelona is very smelly overall unsure if it’s the drains but the smell is very bad in Barcelona

Hotel REC is the perfect base for exploring Barcelona. There's loads of restaurants and bars within walking distance with bus stops and metro station within a few minutes' walk. All the staff we met were really friendly and helpful. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but the receptionist who checked us in was lovely and helped us get our safe working. The room was spotless, huge bed, the shower, toilet and sink were all separate, so really practical and there were loads of sockets for electrical items. The safe in the room was free. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice of meat, scrambled eggs, 3 different cereals, toast and baked goods, yogurts and was slightly different each day. The pool and bar were fun. On Saturday 20th there was a fantastic singer/keyboard player in the bar. She played and sang beautifully with a mix of English and Spanish songs. The hotel were happy to store luggage for us on the last day. They have a room with different size lockers (big enough for suitcases) and we got a card that unlocked it. I'd highly recommend staying here to explore Barcelona.

Uber and taxi can’t stop in front of hotel you need to go to the bus stop which is fine if it’s t late night or you are not carrying luggage’s!! It was some sort bug/insect on the sofa in the breakfast /lounge area. I saw couple of them on the sofa. I wouldn’t go back!

Service was great I was so cold . Don’t know ehy. I asked them for a blanket and they sent up a nice thick wool gray blanket that I was able to keep fir my entire length of time with them . Now that’s service !

Nice stay with fun events

We stayed as a group at the Hotel Rec and had a great time! The rooms were as expected, very nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed the roof top lounge and bar. The nightly events were great, we did a beer tasting with good information on the local beer. Had a great time!
