Always a great stay.

All good but hotel is currently under renovation so entry is a bit unattractive. Also, in general, the interior of the hotel is very dark. With rooms and hallways using very dark greys and blacks which is extremely difficult for the visually impaired and elderly, making it challenging to walk around and find your way. As an architect I appreciate the color scheme but as an elderly person, it was quite a challenge.

The property looked really new which shows the dedication of the hotel. Staff was amazing. The employees we met were very humble and friendly. I made the mistake tl book my second stay in a different hotel. The hotel location is lovely and very close to everything you need to see in Barcelona. The only complain I have and is understandable is that it was a little dusty but I assumed it was due to the constant construction in the building and outside but it was reasonable nothing out of hand or something that can be maintained by oneself.

Our stay was great. The hotel had modern amenities and made good use of space. The breakfast was great with a good choice of bread and pastries, fresh fruit, dried meets and cheeses, eggs and sausage and the awesome automatic cappuccino machines. I especially liked the refillable water bottles in each room with osmosis refill stations in the hall.

The room and breakfast were nice as were the restaurant staff. The check-in process was stressful. I had two rooms booked under me. We were early and I was told only one room was available which was better than expected. I was told the rooms would be 6 floors apart which was suboptimal as my reservation was made months in advance. After I provided a credit card to keep on file and all of our passports and returned everything to my wallet, I was asked how I would like to pay for the city taxes? I told the receptionist to use the credit card on file. She couldn’t did this so I had to get my wallet out again and provide the same card for taxes. I was then asked where I would like to store our luggage. I told the receptionist we would store the bags in the room that was ready. She then told me there was actually no room available. She then put my 11 year old as the responsible party for one room and my husband for the other. We had 4 adults in our party and two children. When the room was ready, we were curtly given room keys with no explanation of room amenities, breakfast times, etc. We felt like burdens rather than valued guests. We visited 5 countries on this trip and all other hotel staff were friendly and accommodating providing room tours and explaining the intricacies of the amenities. I expected better service at this price point.

Equivalent to a budget hotel, not a 4* one. Breakfast was not great and very slow to refill the very limited selection. Worst of all, the construction downstairs made an awful noise and had to ask reception to change room twice to find a quiet room. At least they were helpful and promptly found me a new room away from the construction noise. The room itself was relatively clean well equipped. Unfortunately no bathrobe and even though there was a nespresso machine, the coffee pods were limited and cheap in quality.
