It was ok for a one night stop on the road but would not choose to stay at this hotel again. The room was dated with signs of wear and tear and some areas of the room had not been cleaned well (microwave and chair) Staff were friendly and helpfulz The area around the hotel is not great and when we arrived there was a homeless man going through garbage and a lady with her dog having a meltdown, being there with my infant son made me more wary and concerned for our safety. Do not get a room next to the elevator as you hear the elevator all night.

Had to change rooms because the thermostat was hanging off the wall and even though it was set to the lowest possible temperature, the heater was on full blast. Screen door was barely operational and ripped apart. There was some questionable spray of substance on the sliding glass door to the balcony. Once we switched to the new room, screen door and slider were almost identical, there was someone's food in the fridge (which barely worked), and the entire place was run down and sad. I've stayed at Motel 6's that were in better shape and cleaner, with more professional staff. The staff were all unprofessional, cussing all the time about their jobs (including the housekeeping ladies as we were leaving, basically yelling in the hallway about all the stuff they had to clean). When I brought up our issues during checkout, the front desk guy said he just worked there part time and didn't really care about our experience. NEVER stay at this location! I'll never be booking a room at a Red Lion again.

Hotel was extremely dirty, tv didn’t work and they didn’t even try to fix it, breakfast was inedible. There was hair all over in the bed, dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

This is a low rating but has nothing g to do with the staff. They were amazing. All of them. The hotel property? Rooms, and overall condition was poor. The bed was clean and comfy, nothing else about the room was anywhere close to clean. Dust everywhere, completely run down. Grown water for the shower. The area around the hotel is TRASH!! I should have done more due diligence before booking this. I was unaware until my first night that there’s a homeless shelter right next to the property and the hotel itself is used for overflow for the homeless shelter. Sounds rude to say but how is that not an alert or something on the booking site? That is unsafe and unsanitary to share rooms and a property with homeless. Garbage was piled up everywhere on the exterior of the property everyday. There are dozens of broken down cars, piled to the roof with garbage and personal belongings inside the cars in the parking lot. My first night I checked in late so just grabbed a bite at the bar/cafe. Sharing the car with homeless crackheads isn’t ideal. The bartender was awesome though. This property needs a massive overhaul and should either be a homeless shelter or a hotel, it should not be both. I’ve never stayed somewhere I felt so unsafe and Boise is a small town that doesn’t have the feel of danger in many area. Unfortunately, this hotel is one of the few unsafe areas

My sliding door did not lock. The a/c did not work and the room was too hot. The floors in my room were dirty. The floors in the elevator and the hallways were dirty and the hallways smelled of urine. The 5th floor smelled of marijuana several times

We arrived late and our reservation was cancelled even though I called to tell them of our late arrival. There were a dozen of people roaming around the parking lot when we arrived. I had to go out to get license plate number and was followed to my car. The hotel itself is very dated. Not super clean. In our room there were multiple light bulbs not working. Bathroom was extremely dim due to only 1 out of 5 lightbulbs working. The coffee pot did not work. There was not a lock at all on the sliding door to balcony. Was told no other room was available. The closet door was stuck closed so you couldn’t access the hairdryer or ironing board. The bedside light bulbs were actually colored with an apparent sharpie. We paid extra for the breakfast. It consisted of expired milk. Hard French toast. Bagels that were moldy. Extremely overcooked oatmeal. We did not even attempt to eat anything at all for fear of illness except a granola bar. Desk clerk was not helpful. The absolute worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff wasn’t too friendly. I paid for breakfast. It was limited food two of the days it wasn’t even meat served two of the days. It wasn’t no white milk for the cereal. They could be much cleaner in the bedrooms. It needs upgrade. the ceiling in the dining room was leaking where you sit and eat.

The staff could not have been better. They were awesome.. so friendly and accommodating. We did have trouble with our room keys they would not work even after we got replacements, The card reader on the door. might need to be replaced.. The TV remote was very difficult and frustrating. The bathroom the toilet seemed like it was for kindergarten kids. It is just hard to relax when you have these hiccups during your stay. It was very clean and comfortable the other areas.
