The hotel and staff is great. The only issue we had was the mattress. Our mattress had a dip towards the middle so if you have a bad back you would be up a lot.

We stayed in adjoining rooms (424 and 426) on October 11–13, and it was a nightmare. Both toilets ran nonstop, and the one in 426 only flushed if you held the handle for minutes. The shower had heavy mold where the handle meets the wall. Around 12:30 a.m., staff knocked on our door telling us to be quiet, even though we were just talking normally. The real noise was coming from another room, but management accused us until we went to the front desk at 1 a.m. to prove it. Only then did they admit it wasn’t us. We never got the towels we requested and had to track down housekeeping ourselves. I tried to file a complaint at checkout but never received a call back. Between the unsanitary bathroom, sleepless night, and rude treatment, I’d never stay here again.

Unfortunately just prior to our booking our elderly cat escaped from our home (just before a dangerous storm was approaching). This property provided no flexibility with our reservation despite the Expedia team attempting to reach some form of resolution. As a long time Hilton user for work and personal travel-I am very disappointed in this hotel.

The first thing we noticed was the elevator signs above the elevator door on the first floor. The header trim almost completely obscures the visibility unless you are standing against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway. The wall sconce lighting along the 4th floor hallway is pretty beat up. They are unfortunately at shoulder height, so they are easily damaged. Signage at the road could be improved. Where the illuminated DoubleTree sign is at the bottom of the hill on the main road, there could be an arrow indicating to continue straight up the hill, or turn left and proceed to the 55 sign for the office park. A DoubleTree sign should be there indicating to turn right and proceed up the hill. Right now there isn't any signage that indicates to turn there for the hotel. There was a lot of noise coming into the dining area from the adjacent great room. There was a large gathering in the room and loud talking made it difficult to talk in the dining room without yelling occasionally..

I want to thank Expedia who answered my concerns when I checked in. They saw that I am a frequent user of Expedia when I book my trips for years now. However this hotel told us our room wasn’t available and this property had 3 wedding this weekend and I get that they were fully booked. We tried to check in early and they told us no. Again I get it so we went into Salem and came back late to check in. I booked this room 3 months ago specifically for a King as I am a big guy and I don’t want to crush my wife in any other style bed. When we went to check in they woman gave us double beds. I explained I reserved a King and showed her my reservation. She told me and I quote- we have no King beds and we “reserve the right to reassign a room when you book through a third party”. When I contacted customer service that evening they sent me a text that the hotel said I was ok with the room and they told me I could cancel and get a full refund!!!! Really? Because that never happened. I know it seems like a minor issue but it mad me so mad that the night manager would lie like that. What really happened isn’t rocket science. The staff looked at the weddings and everyone else that booked directly and discounted any “3rd” party bookings giving what was left. It’s frustrating about the manager lying to Expedia when they contacted them. Not even any offer for a free breakfast, coffeee anything. I think it was pretty bad customer service
