To new management: I have been going to this boutique hotel for years. The staff is lovely, the artwork on the building/interior is just amazing and the location is near the bus station/hospital and good restaurants. BUT, new management has decided to do away with one of the best features: the POOL is GONE!!! In all of the advertising, the pool is featured>the pool has been replaced by a "cenote" where you cannot swim!!We were sent over to another hotel's pool to swim in. It is HOT in El Mexico and we need a POOL!!! you have destroyed one of the best features of the property>WHY??? as a long time customer, I want the original pool back, please. AND please change your advertising to reflect this new development. Your advertising at present is completely misleading and customers are upset.VERY DISAPPOINTING>

So much attention to esthetics on the outside and hallways. However, the inside of the room had an Old TV, stained curtains off the hooks, safety lock on window missing screws. Dated furniture that had nothing to do with the Mayan charm marketed. Don’t get me wrong, for the price my expectations were not that high to begin with. But even then, the inside of the room did not meet my expectations. I had room #230 right on the corner intersection with noise coming from both directions until the middle of the night. The only thing this place had going for it was the location. Will definitely NOT stay here again!

Maybe in the future it will be a good hotel

I booked because it had a pool ect and parking onsite. Both of these were not true. Also the ac didn’t work properly and the sewer smell was backing up the drain which is clear tell the condition of the entire hotel. Maybe in the future it will be better as they were doing loud work early. I did enjoy the cute decor.

Quaint and comfortable simple clean rooms in a great central location in city center area is near to numerous parks and activities, public transport, and eminently walkable for lots of dining and entertainment options. Staff was excellent. The hotel is undergoing some renovations, which did not disturb my rest at all, but the pool is closed for renovations. It was quiet and easy to sleep at night, but busy and active in the area surrounding the hotel during the day. I safely enjoyed walking all around the area by myself all times of the day and evening. Well lit areas, lots of dining options and music all around.

I really enjoyed staying here. There was a Mayan theme throughout the hotel. The spa was nice and affordable and the pool open all night was fun. They are under some construction (but some who might be upset over this might not be as focused on the fun parts of their vacation) which is noticeable but didn’t mess with my stay. The staff was so attentive and friendly, they went above and beyond to check in with us. There are close restaurants and cafes, and it’s close to the beach or to travel to Isla Mujeres. wished there were more towels (we got one ant an time) and the lighting was dim. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Be prepared for a lively night life too.
