This property is wonderful, the staff here are so warm and welcoming. The food options were are delicious. The rooms were super clean and the fridge was always being restocked throughout the week for us. Overall I would come back to this place over and over again.

We have stayed at four different resorts in Cancun, all within the hotel zone. Wyndham Grand Cancun would rank as our least favorite and, in our opinion, feels closer to a 3-star property. Several guests we spoke with mentioned that before it was rebranded as Wyndham, the resort offered better food options and higher overall quality. Some even noted that staff are encouraged to write positive reviews, which might explain the higher ratings online. Property Atmosphere and Cleanliness: The property feels a bit dated overall. While it’s clear some upgrades have been made to the rooms, the indoor areas left much to be desired. The low ceilings and unusual layout made the interiors feel cramped. On the other hand, the outdoor facilities were enjoyable, offering several pools to suit different preferences, outdoor dining areas, food service by the pools, and a beach bar with plenty of seating. The beach itself was well-maintained, relatively free of seaweed (thanks to a morning tractor service), and swimmable during our stay in mid-April. Overall, the resort grounds were kept clean and tidy. Staff: The staff at the main pool were outstanding. Whisky and his team created a fun atmosphere, especially for kids and teens. Our teenager loved participating in activities like pool basketball, volleyball, and various competitions. This property was absolutely stunning! The staff were absolutely amazing, and so very helpful! They were constantly keeping the resort in beautiful condition, literally on their hands and knees cleaning glass doors and windows, and would stop what they were doing to run, and open a door for you. 10/10 experience!

The property over was great! Our ocean front view was AMAZING! The staff was accommodating and friendly. This was a family trip with 7 people, with a minor who has extreme food allergies. They were able to accommodate her during lunch and dinner. We brought pur own breakfast items for her, to make it easier. I do wish that they had more of a variety for her, however, they very accommodating. Breakfast choices were great for everyone else in the main dining restaurant. I wish there were more of a variety for dinner in the main restaurant nightly. Overall, I already recommended this resort to many friends. Thank you for a great family trip! I would stay there again.

The staff is excellent and very attentive. Abraham has superb customer service skills even though we didn’t join the vacation club. Next time. The wait staff provides delicious meals and the only thing I would improve upon is the strength of the juice concentrate provided. The mimosas and mango margaritas were excellent. The best waiter for us was a gentleman named Noe. He was so kind and great at his job. Thank you, Noe. The pools are amazing and the property sits on the beach. This was our second time to stay at this property as previously it was the Omni. The nightly shows are entertaining and there are so many different activities to do here. We love Chichén Itzá and you can get the trip thru the hotel instead of at the airport. But be advised, this is a tourist area and the job of these lovely people to encourage you to join a very flexible vacation club at really reasonable prices or visit the local attractions. There really is something for almost any budget. I would recommend riding the public buses. It only costs a few pesos and the buses are safe and CLEAN. Much cleaner than Dallas buses and very easy to find even the local Walmart! Yes. There’s Walmart in Mexico! I bought souvenirs there each time I visit Cancún and got snacks for my room. Please do the all-inclusive when you visit. Food and drinks are available 24/7. There is a $5 fee for room delivery, just an fyi. Visit the Wyndham. It feels like home. And the rooms are kept clean.

Pros: Small resort, good if you don’t want to walk a lot. We had teenagers so it was nice for them to do their own thing but still be able to keep an eye on them. Overall the food was good , it’s not top notch but very good at most places. Clean resort, nice pools (not huge) , nice people, I liked that you see or hear the ocean from almost anywhere in the resort. Comfortable beds. New rooms. Not a party scene, although there are activities by the big pool. Cons. The beach is small, a lot of it has eroded, it’s not their fault, it’s like that pretty much along the hotel zone, it’s difficult to go for a walk on the beach. The seaweed is starting to increase, we still were able to find some clean spots but in general the beach area is just ok. They don’t do a good job of cleaning the seaweed either, they cover it up with sand but then when it dries up it turns the sand brown. There is also a jet ski stand right next to beach area so it’s loud and you have to be careful. Overall we had a great time, and we did enjoy the beach everyday. I am just pointing that out so you don’t expect a big, wide beach with palm trees like you would in playa del Carmen.

I literally just left. I want to start off by saying the staff at this hotel is amazing. Diego at Pina colodas was the best. Adal at the beach bar Diego pool side and Orlando in lobby bar w his amazing drinks. Those were are favorite. The hotel it's self is nice and clean. Our first villa was very dated and had a lot of issues but the front desk moved us to a new villa and it was beautiful!! Absolutely breathtaking. Food was good n we loved the Thai bed on the beach . Great for families. I would definitely come back.

This hotel should not be considered as a VIP access. It’s an ok place to stay, but not a great one. My husband and I stayed only for 2 nights as we wanted to try it out but I don’t think we will be back. The food at the buffet isn’t good, we only tried the steakhouse and it was good as well as the sushi, the staff have some attitude and unfortunately reflects on the service.

It was my 4th visit to this hotel since 2022. Everything changed :( very disappointed. Brazilian steak house is gone and the meat they served as beef file mignon actually was very similar horse meat, because it looked like not beef steak and taste no beef. I know beef meat and it was not beef:( overall food was ok, or not good at all. The bed was very comfortable and service mostly was good. The rooms are moist and smelly .. This was my last visit to this resort, not coming back again.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and always kind. Lunch times took a while to be greeted and served but we figured that due to minimal options. Our room had horrible circulation and always felt damp; example: my son used the restroom before we left for a day trip, closed that door, and it STILL smelled when we came back 11 hours later! There was a dirty bandaid on the hallway floor after coming out of the elevator when we arrived; five days later it was there when we were leaving. The food filled our tummies but seemed to be repeats. The front house staff greeted us and made us feel very welcomed.

The hotel check in is at 3:00pm. We got in the hotel at 4:00pm and our room was not ready. We had to wait for about an hour until our room was ready. We were tired after hours in the airplane. We bought the plane tickets so we could get in the hotel after 3:00pm so we could have our room ready. It was disappointing!
