A very nice hotel one block from Magnificent mile. It was a convenient and safe location and quite affordable for a city center hotel.

Dirty hallway carpets with copious visual stains, half the hallway on the 15th floor smelled of cigarette smoke, there was a dog barking in another room, elevator took forever between 3-5 minutes from room to street. My room was a low tier twin double bed so I did not have high expectations for luxury, but it was loud, dark, dingy, and smelly. Will not return even if it’s the cheapest in downtown Chicago.

I was unimpressed right at check in. We pulled up to the valet and no one paid us any attention. My friend rolled down the window to get their attention, still ignored. I literally turned my hazards on so she could get out, go inside to get a luggage cart, AND then we got attention. One thing they don't tell you is there's literally NO parking. They also charged me $72 for valet just for me to park my own car in front of the hotel because they didn't have anyone to drive a manual (the not being able to drive it, I understand), but $72 to just hold onto my key & put a tag in my window) is ridiculous? $72 to sit for ONE night. The elevators are VERY TINY and claustrophobic. I had to wait for the elevator 3x before it was empty to be able to get in just me and the luggage cart. Rooms are small & you can hear everything. The one thing that I did enjoy was the Nora lounge.

Incredibly noisy! We were on the 9th floor and could barely sleep due to the constant city noises all night long. We’ve stayed in many downtown hotels and have never experienced one this loud before. It was super convenient to Michigan Ave for shopping and dining. The room itself was super small, almost like a dorm room with a tiny bathroom. Zero counter space in the bathroom, the sink and cabinet looked like one of the tiny ones you see in IKEA. Overall it was ok but I doubt we’d stay there again.
