It's a minor detail for many but when I check into a hotel, I prefer to be greeted with a warm & sincere welcome. You know, sort of like I'm a valued customer and my business is appreciated. I didn't get that here.
The bed was amazing and was ideal for my sleeping preferences. Not too soft or firm. The only complaint I have regarding the room is a major one for me. The pillows. Lumpy & without any cushion is the best way I can describe them. After a short period of time, it was as if my head was resting on a block of wood. This fact alone caused me to wake up countless times throughout the night.
The second disappointment was with the breakfast offering. The hot foods (eggs, sausage & hash browns) were well below the safe zone storage temperature. Describing the the food as warm would be generous. I elected to toss my plate and opt for a toasted bagel with cream cheese instead. The orange juice was excellent though.
With a some staff training about customer relations & upgrades to a few items within the hotel from the owner, this could easily have been a five star review.
