Our super refurbished room was very comfortable, clean and modern on floor 6 overlooking the sea. The sunsets were stunning from our balcony. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Fantastic indoor and outdoor pool areas. Breakfast very good with plentiful choice. Coffee unfortunately was strong and bitter, we found unpleasant! Dinner choice and variety was ok but not 5 star. the desserts in particular were tasteless We were pleased we stayed here as we had a very good stay overall.

Super hotel - this is what they used to be like 25 years ago before corporate chains sanitised them. Lovely staff throughout all areas. Dining room is busy but staff lay your table and attend to you straight on arrival and also clear really promptly, so it always looks smart. Big selection of food for breakfast and dinner, we enjoyed all meals. There is a sunset terrace near the Piano Bar for spectacular evening photos over the Adriatic. Clifftop coastal path from the children's playground will take you the (long) way down to picturesque Cavtat harbour passing 20th century defence bukers on the way. Balconies are quite small but the sea views are teriffic. All areas spotlessly clean. October visit, the outdoor pool was freezing! Drinks are a bit pricey but not much different from the prices in town. 45 minute bus ride into Dubrovnik costs 4 euros, but make sure you get off when the driver says 'city' or you will end up at the cruise terminal miles from anywhere.

Beautiful property. Even in a hillside facing room, you feel like you are completely alone….until the people next door talk. Room was quite noisy. All the people in rooms on either side were doing was talking in a normal volume.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I wish we had stayed more than one night! The rooms are clean and updated and have all amenities you’d expect. The robes and slippers were a nice touch! The sunset view from our room was absolutely amazing. We had dinner at the steakhouse and the food and service were both good. The breakfast buffet also has a really nice selection and real brewed coffee, which was a nice change from our other accommodations. I highly recommend this hotel! One of the best we’ve stayed at in Europe!

It was our first time visiting Cavtat and Hotel Croatia, the hotel is really quite large but it doesn’t feel overcrowded. We had a sea view room on the 4th floor which offered amazing views of the Adriatic, the views on the other side of the hotel face the beautiful bay of Cavtat. Staff were quick and efficient, we were able to access our room early. The pools are both lovely (outdoor one a little chilly in October but I still enjoyed it!) and the spa treatments good value. Breakfast was plentiful and had many options. The hill is quite steep but golf buggies will transport you up and down to the town if you wish. Bed very comfortable and room a good size with good quality shower and hair products in the bathrooms, so no need to overfill your case with conditioner! There seemed to be constantly someone cleaning somewhere, the whole town is very tidy. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Myself and 5 other couples recently stayed at the Hotel Croatia. It is a beautiful hotel that is close to Dubrovnik. The hotel staff was excellent. Rooms were very nice and a great breakfast. Cavtat is a nice little town that gives you a great place to relax and experience Croatia. Transportation by ferry is coinvent to Dubrovnik. Ivo at the reservation desk was wonderful to work with. He arranged an all-day 12 passenger 32-foot open bow Epidaurum boat to visit the Elafiti islands. Our group got to see a different view of Croatia with our boat Captain Maro. This was the highlight of our stay in Croatia.

The hotel is old and dated, although our room had been updated, it was still old looking. The place is enormous, i was told there are something like 500 rooms. The dining hall was just way too busy, and we visited out of peak season. Sorry but this is just not for me. I took the bundle package of flight from Zagreb to Dubrovnik and hotel, which was my mistake. The steak House was pretty good.
