This is my second visit here, and I still find it excellent for shopping, dining, and walking. The rooms are a little bit challenging to access because the building is old, but it's worth the minor inconvenience. I hope to return soon.

Delightful

What a charming hotel, and perfectly situated. Staff at front desk and in the restaurant were all very friendly. Spacious room and comfortable bed. You can't really have a lie-in because you'll hear them putting out chairs in the courtyard for breakfast, but that's no big issue. The only improvement I would request is a different window treatment in the bathroom, since currently there are only sheer curtains and you do feel a bit exposed to the surrounding windows when you have the light on in there. Also - I tried to ask ahead of time if there was a fan to combat the heatwave, and received no reply, but I needn't have worried as there was indeed a fan in the closet and the room was surprisingly cool anyway. Overall, a lovely stay. I'm only left with the mystery of the suite name. Tried to search for this Tobias Elkin among the more recognisable literary names and I only found living footballers. This is gonna puzzle me for a while.

Recently had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel. The room was a complimentary upgrade for my birthday and was impeccably clean and well-appointed, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this hotel. We're be back for sure.

In the Angel Hotel I had a very spacious and comfortable bedroom with a large en-suite, the bed was very comfortable. It is on the historic cobbled High Street with shops and restaurants close by, it is 10 minutes walk to the station. In house restaurant run by Bill’s.

The air con is fake. The TV is not working. The f a u c e t i s l o o s e + l e a k i n g THE SHOWER IS WEAK IN ADDITION, POOR HOUSEKEEPING (FOUND A PIECE OF NAIL CLIPPING FROM PREVOOUS GUEST NEAR THE TOLIET BOWL AFTER TWO DAYS OF HOUSE KEEPING!) Not recommend this hotel, most appliances are nit working. The Only goid thing is the reception man and lady are friendly and nice.

We stayed during midsummer and a heatwave. They had fans for our room but it was still hot, especially at night. This is an historic building and the location just can’t be beat, as the hotel is right on the high street. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the dining and shopping options, although it was a little noisy at night. Our room was serviced daily with free bottled water and replacement coffee pods. There is no parking so you have to use the local long term parking.
