We stayed here on a last minute deal which made the cost about £210 a night (£150 cheaper in total than if we’d booked in advance).
Good points:
- comfy bed
- good room size
- decent availability for parking
- good breakfast
- staff are lovely
Negatives:
- water pressure was awful! Modern bathroom but water pressure was non existent - we had more at a shepherd’s hut in an off grid location!
- no coffee machine in the room, just instant coffee. For a 4* hotel charging the prices they do, I’d fully expect a coffee machine
- no mini bar or fridge in the room
- no hairdryer (poor considering the luxury element they push for staying here)
- the carpet was so slippery, I genuinely don’t know what they use on it but it was very slippy
- towels felt rough and hard, not good quality
- the gym is very small considering the hotel size, and dated
There are definitely better value places to stay than here, I wouldn’t say it is good value for money and I would put it as average for what it is.
