Amazing stay in Kyoto. We loved everything about this hotel. The location is convenient, room quiet and clean, shower is very comfortable. The staff here is absolutely amazing! Special compliment to Ms. Hazuki Hatasa, the supervisor at the executive lounge. Her energy and enthusiasm is infectious! Between her and the team there, we felt like coming home every time we visited the lounge. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Kyoto!

Good table management system. Every table is given a "Table Occupancy Card" where guests can comfortably leave the dining table without worrying that it's may be taken by another guest whole collecting food or waiters clearing the table when guests or when guests are not at the table but haven't leave the restaurant yet. Upon leaving, guests will return the card to the reception. Many hotels including those 5 stars hotel perch can adopt this concept

Easy access to station, staff were extremely helpful and sorted out luggage forwarding within minutes. Didn't have breakfast but we noticed there was a big queue out the door at 7:30. Not enough washing machines for demand and the dry setting didn't dry the clothes fully. Room was pleasant and happy hour at the bar was great!

Can't say I was overall impressed with this hotel. It was close to the station, that was nice. Not too far a walk to a major street with things to see and shop. It was mostly the club lounge that was incredibly disappointing. Not only was it very bare and had only basic amenities, they also have a 90 minute stay policy and close down everything at 8pm. Certainly not worth upgrading the club lounge at this place.

The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was roomy. However, the room was far too small for us to open up our luggage. There were 3 beds for the 3 of us adults but no where near enough room for 3 people to have luggage with them. The breakfast quality was also very so-so. Very nice staff, though, and lobby was lovely.

My stay at the Double Tree was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is very close to the train station (and a Shinkansen no less!) and a 7/11, which is great for getting cash on the go. From the moment we walked in we were impressed. The hotel lobby smelled amazing and had a relaxing atmosphere. The clerks were helpful in both English and Japanese, and they even went the extra mile to show us their recommendations for things to do around Kyoto. The upgrade to executive level is definitely worth the money. The bathroom in our suite was stunning, and cleaned thoroughly every day. The room was spacious, and even the floor outside the elevator sparkled. The most worthwhile thing was the executive suite breakfast on the top floor. Both the Japanese style and American style breakfasts were delicious. I miss the tater tots and the fresh strawberry jam every day. And I never thought I would eat mackerel for breakfast, but it was just that good. The breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. If we ever come back to Kyoto, we are DEFINITELY staying here again. And if we go anywhere else in Japan, we’ll stay at Double Tree Hilton properties only. This changed the game! 10/10 would recommend.

We loved our time in Kyoto staying at the Double Tree near the Shinkansen station. The room was elegant, clean, and quiet. Breakfast was superb! Fitness center was just right, and not too busy. Such a great place! Only areas for improvement would be to add additional laundry machines and additional parking spaces.
