The hotel was excellent and I enjoyed my stay there. It was in a convenient and central location while I was in Kyoto for a few days for the first time. The staff were very kind. The hotel room was a comfortable size for my partner and I, and the hotel was able to smoothly assist us with transporting our luggage to the next hotel for our next destination. Had a five-night stay with my family of three. The hotel's location is at the quieter side of Kyoto; and close to the commercial district, local train station and some of Kyoto's attractions; shrines; and temples. I just love walking around the area early morning and nights. The room is smaller to my standards as I expected. I found our room and bathroom clean and well maintained. They have coin operated washing machines in-house, a great amenity if needed. The hotel's English-speaking staff were very friendly and very engaging. I would definitely stay in this hotel again the next time I visit Kyoto.

Amazingly helpful staff, very comfortable beds, clean rooms with both air-conditioning & air purifier. Less soundproof, but mostly dependent on fellow travelers whether that's a problem or not. Only slept with noise canceling headphones the first night (very light sleeper) and was perfectly fine the nights after that.
