Ei tyypillinen järven mökki! Lone Star Retreat # 3 on PET FRIENDLY 1BR huoneisto, joka nukkuu 4 & on kaikki kodin mukavuudet, jotta vuoriston pako on paras! Täysin kunnostettu vuonna 2018, Lone Star Retreat # 3 on upeat järvinäkymät kaikki neljä vuodenaikaa, joissa on paljon yksityisyyttä. Sijaitsee järven eteläpuolella, jossa on rauhallinen ja hiljainen, mutta silti kävelyetäisyys järvelle. Lemmikkieläinystävällinen, vain 10 minuutin päässä Waynesvillen keskustasta ja 25 minuutin päässä Ashevillestä!

We absolutely loved our stay here and hated to leave. The residence and scenery are beautiful! Lone Star Retreat #3 was decorated beautifully and had all the items needed during our stay such as bedding, cookware, tableware, full sized kitchen, washer and dryer, and even board games. We got the monopoly game out and played one evening. It had been a long time since we played a board game as a family. The host provided a binder with instructions and places to visit in the area. I loved sitting on the deck enjoying the peaceful setting and beautiful landscaping. Can’t wait to return in the future!!!

Amazing Property

We stayed at this great hideaway for a week, and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The place was immaculately cleaned and it had everything one could need for their stay. The outside of the property is lined with beautiful plants and trees almost making one feel like they are staying in a tree house. The 'Green Book'. The owners provided a book with everything about the cabin, restaurants, places to visit, and so much more. This book assisted with any and all questions we had during our stay. The owners were very pleasant and quick to respond if needed. This is a must rent property and we will definitely be back.

Our second visit to Lonestar 3 at Lake Junaluska

We enjoyed our short stay but had to leave early due to weather from hurricane Helena. The apartment was very comfortable, well appointed and stocked with basic provisions (paper towels, etc.), and a generous supply of welcome snacks. It's a perfect location and ideal for our two small Westies and their morning and afternoon walks through a beautiful neighborhood overlooking Lake Junaluska.

July 2024 Vacation Stay

We enjoyed staying at the Lone Star Retreat. The unit was nice and clean and it had a pretty view of the lake. There are lots of beautiful flowers and trees on the property too. We had a great time walking around the lake and also going to Waynesville, Asheville and some waterfall hikes.

Lovely Stay at Lake Junaluska

Lone Star Retreat #3 was a lovely place to stay while enjoying the beauty of Lake Junaluska. Glimpses of the lake could be seen through trees from the large picture windows and the two large decks. We loved watching the birds in the extensive gardens. Since we visited in the summer, the large trees provided a welcome respite from the heat. Everything we needed was provided, and the apartment could not have been cleaner or nicer. Do be aware that there are 25 steps broken up by deck landings to get down to the apartments. We looked at it as good exercise, but we don't have ambulatory issues. We'll be back!

Magical Week on Lake Junaluska

We spent a magical week on Lake Junaluska in this apartment. Everything about it and the owners is top notch. The unit was immaculately clean and the owners have covered every detail, including thinking about our fur babies. We spent lovely evenings on the deck enjoying the fire pit and the spectacular views of the Lake. The photos on the listing don't even do it justice. It was our first trip to Lake Junaluska, and hopefully not our last. We would HIGHLY recommend this unit and these owners for your next vacation or getaway.

Great trip

My best friend and I wanted a vacation in Lake Junaluska so I found this apartment and we were so happy with it. Carolyn had made an amazing notebook of everything you would need on a trip, from restaurants (and menus), activities in the area, Wi-Fi password, instructions for everything! They also left a basket with snacks and a gift card to their favorite restaurant. We were so impressed! When we checked in we found the brand new refrigerator had quit working. Van was there in just a few minutes and brought us a mini fridge to use until a new one could be delivered. We were so happy with the service. All we needed was a small fridge anyway so it was no problem. The area is just beautiful. I loved sitting out on the deck in the mornings with my coffee. We feel like we found a jewel and we both highly recommend. I’m ready to go back.

Wonderful getaway

The Lone Star Retreat was a beautiful place. I enjoyed being able to sit on the porch and watch the lake and trees in cool weather (which, now that I’m back in Texas, I won’t see again until maybe February). I wish I could have given more than 5 stars. Carolyn was a gracious host, attentive but not intrusive. Wish I were back there…

Carolyn was very gracious~

It was difficult reviewing this property because, unfortunately, we had to cancel our plans. I understood that it was so late in the game that I couldn't be refunded. However, I did reach out to Carolyn and asked her, since there would be no need to clean the condo (since we won't be there) and my dog was not coming, would she reimburse the cleaning and dog fees. She QUICKLY replied and processed the refund. I am very grateful! If her place is anything like she is, I'm certain it is wonderful! Many thanks~

Lone star Resort #3

Fabulous place to stay! Great view of the lake from the deck and the big windows! Owner is respectful of your privacy and yet always available if needed! Convenient to Maggie Valley, Waynesville, and Canton NC. Their yard is beautiful! Close enough to walk to the lake also. Not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee, and Soco Falls! We had a GREAT time! Great place to play or relax. Thank you Carolyn and Van!

Comfortable and relaxing

Our overall stay was excellent and Carolyn was there if needed. Our only concern was the safety during wet weather where the stairs to the home were green with algae and slippery, fall leaves did not help either. Wold have been nice to have the leaves blown off to provide a bit more safety. Solar lights on stairs went out too quickly leaving it dark when you come in late. In addition the living room windows had no blinds so anyone sleeping on the extra bed or sitting around would have little to no privacy from anyone walking by on the deck. However, our overall stay was excellent, comfortable, and relaxing which is what we were looking for. I believe it would also be great in the spring and fall when everything comes to life. I will stay again when the time comes to visit family and friends in Waynesville.

Very nice apartment. I stayed in #3. It has large corner windows affording a fine view of forested residential properties and also the lake. One caveat there are no curtains on the living room windows, however it is the last apartment and rarely does anyone walk by. The property is in the trees and is full of landscape plantings. The owners Carolyn and Van are very nice and helpful, although I had no problems since the apartment was spotless and everything is provided. The property is only five minutes from downtown Waynesville.

Perfect Location

Loved the view and the location. It was central to all of our needs. Communication with the hosts was great, and the apt. was very cozy.

Great!

This place is so cute, and the views are awesome! The property is extremely well-kept and is tucked up away from everything, but still close and convenient to a good amount of things. My husband and I prefer to keep to ourselves, and the hosts respected that while still being super accommodating. I would highly recommend this place!
