Shaka Caye is a hidden gem; if you want to have a non-chaotic, very personalized vacation where the staff treat you like you are the only person on the island, Shaka Caye is the perfect location. My stay at this island resort was exactly what I needed! The room was very nice and clean. The staff was incredible, and there were lots of options for excursions for the more adventurous people. I am usually adventurous, but my goal for this trip was solitude and relaxation. This resort gave me just that. The only thing my days revolved around was meals which are brought right to you wherever you want. And the food was fantastic!!! Highly recommend this resort. Be prepared for mosquitos and sand flies! I got eaten alive, but it didn’t bother me much.

It was a delightful private small island. Only accessible by boat, so if you want to get away from it all this place is for you! Excellent staff, good food for a resort, and with capacity only for 35 guests you may find yourself completely alone like we did for our first few days. Kayak over to a private beach and swim with the fish (no sharks!) overall a very relaxing vacay!

If you are looking for a quiet vacation, a place to relax and enjoy the ocean, this is the great place. The staff is amazing, royalty treatment!
