Cons The rooms are super small and a bit outdated. The bathroom was so tiny I had to enter by walking sideways. The actual restaurant and bar was okay. We actually ate and got drinks from the other hotel bars. Pros Housekeeping came daily. The lady that checked us in was super nice. We had complimentary beach chairs, umbrella and towels daily. I probably won’t use this hotel again but I did have a good time in Miami

Great service, run down hotel.

The hotel its self is very run down. We had to call to get toilet repaired. The room had a small window unit that barely kept the room cool during the day. The carpets are stained through out the lobby. The restaurants have large menu options but be prepared for a 20% auto gratuity that the servers say they never see. The bar was great with some strong drinks. South Beach its self appeared safe during the day. At night stay inside. I was asked to buy drugs every where I walked.

We LOVED our stay.

There were 3 of us that went down for the Darude show. We loved every minute. No complaints on the hotel. The only awkwardness is that there is a frosted door for the bathroom. . You can see straight in. More than fine for couples but maybe not so much for the friend set up. No privacy in the bathroom. Which we accepted due to the age of the hotel. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Freaking best part.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating when we vocalized issues. Upon arrival, we noticed how bad the hotel itself smelled because of the old carpet throughout the lobby, waiting area, and staircase. There was old funky red carpet and the entire hotel itself, could use a humidifier because of it. The original room we booked had a broken shower, which maintenance came to fix. We left for hrs, came back and they were still working on it. After a day of itching and sweating, we simply wanted to wash the sand off of our skin. We called and asked staff to relocate us to a different room. Staff were very pleasant, always smiling, and helpful. We were given a different room on the same floor, still with oceanfront view. Overall, the hotel didn’t look nearly as clean or nice as advertised, and we had some mishaps, but it was doable for 3 nights.

They are so friendly and it’s a very clean and comfortable hotel. There is a cvs right next door which was very convenient. They also provide chairs and beach towels for the beach. They also have bikes you can use for free.

when you first arrive it seems all sunshine and rainbows, but if you don't have a Spanish speaker present it gets difficult to communicate you issues with hotel staff. having your car in valet is a good idea if you plan to stay around the beach and local eatery, but can get pricy if you plan on staying several days and doing things outside walking distance. More on the hotel, to start they told us they had fridges in the rooms with complimentary water. we thought this was perfect, but our fridge had no waters, we soon find out that the "complimentary water" is a miniature water bottle and its only one per person, completely different from what they first told us. we brush that off to enjoy our night out and had leftovers that we put in our fridge. To our surprise the next morning our foods gone bad (one of the dishes was seafood). it wasnt like we had it out for long as we ate a five minute walk from the hotel, the fridge they had provided us had broken in the middle of the night or possible before that. the beacon hotel seemed to have a theme of having hidden issues though it was meant to look classy. I'm sure there are better places to stay where their equipment works and their quickest way to travel isn't stairs that have staples sticking out the ends.
