Ok. Staff were friendly & polite. If you want to stay close to Centrale, then its location is hard to beat. However, it is definitely not a 4 star hotel given lack of facilities and very small bathrooms.

Great location & staff, but disappointing. Not 4*!

The good: Location excellent! Directly across the road from Central Station so daytrips and travel was very easy. The staff were very courteous, businesslike and professional. The room and entire hotel was very clean. The not so good: This is not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination... no kettle tea/coffee making facilities unless you ask for them... and then when delivered (very promptly and courteously) there were no cups and no milk... just a kettle and a sachet of coffee or teabag. The breakfast room has fabulous views but the cost €16 is far more than what you'd pay over the road in central market... and closed in the evenings... there's no bar or lounge which as a solo traveller makes for quite a lonely stay. The room was stylishly minimal... minimal being the operative word as there were 5 hangers and 3 shelves... not much room for anything and the colours were dark and very gloomy. There are only 2 lifts serving 9 floors so the wait was ridiculously long at times to go down and out... I'd normally use the stairs but they were closed off with signs of "emergency use only" which was very annoying. All in all a great location and professional staff but not much else going for it... I was disappointed with my stay.

We enjoyed our return stay at HD8. Very convenient location which is walkable distance to transport. Plenty of eating places and grocers nearby. Staff always helpful. It would be nicer if kettle for tea and coffee is already available in the room (rather than having to ask for one). And also it would be nice if they don't charge baggage storage for guests who leave for a few day and return to stay.

Super friendly and always helpful staff. The facilities though are small: small hotel, small elevated, super small room, no closet. Thin walls, you will here the people next door talking. Expensive breakfast €20 per person. Good hotel, but definitely not a 4 star hotel at all, I will say is a 3 star hotel

Convinient locatiin for transit stay

Hotel is selling same room as sngl or dbl, and difference in price is supposed to be in amount of towels, shampoo, soap for guests. This is second time we stayed at the hotel and rooms have only one set for 1 guest, although sold and checked in as dbl room. Each time you have to ask for second towel, etc

Nice hotel but this was a tiring stay

Noisy hotel with drunken guests bashing doors at 2am-3am. This happened 3 nights out of 5. One day the maid also failed to lock the door after room was serviced. Room temperature controlled by reception and was too warm for me.

Ok. Good location. Issues.

Clean smart and pleasant staff but sole selfish as hell loud guests which happened on multiple floors - running between their rooms with the doors propped open. Have a feeling it was common occurrence. Also the air con is controlled from reception and you have to BEG them to let you control it from the room, which is only ever temporary and otherwise the room is way too hot. We were a group and most of us had this issue.

Moved to another hotel

We booked this hotel but were taken to a hotel next door called Glam Hotel. We were informed that we had been upgraded at the time of check-in. We were never informed beforehand that we would be moved to another hotel. We got upgraded to a junior suite but it was average compared to the supposed double room we had booked at the HD8 Hotel Milano which has a newer and clean style. The service was quick. The only issue was in the morning of check-out, a cleaner tried to get in without knocking when we had the do not disturb sign hanging on the door. In the aspect of comfort, the bed was comfortable. The room had a great view of the central station.

Overpriced, Uncomfortable & Poorly Maintained!

While the staff was friendly and check-in was smooth, several issues significantly impacted my stay. The room was uncomfortably hot, with an air conditioning system locked at 18°C, leaving no way to cool it further. Despite efforts to adjust it, the temperature remained humid and stuffy, making sleep difficult. My friends in another room had the same issue, indicating a broader problem. Additionally, the shower temperature fluctuated unpredictably between hot and cold, making it uncomfortable to use. Noise was another major issue—poor soundproofing meant I was constantly disturbed by slamming doors, whether from cleaning staff or guests. The noise was so disruptive it felt like the entire corridor shook. Cleanliness was below standard. Dust had settled on furniture and wardrobe shelving, showing that proper checks were not done before my arrival. When I asked for a restaurant recommendation, the receptionist handed me a business card but couldn’t recommend a dish, suggesting no real guest engagement. The restaurant was overpriced with limited options, making the recommendation feel more about convenience than quality. I didn’t report these issues, as guests shouldn’t have to chase staff for basic service. These problems should have been addressed before check-in. I expect acknowledgment of these concerns and assurance of improvements to prevent future guests from facing similar issues.
