The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar offers everything a traveler could need and more. The grounds are vast and beautifully maintained, creating the perfect setting for relaxation or adventure. Place is beautiful but they could do little things that go a long way to make travelers feel valued. Room was clean, pools were clean and the water park was fun. Beaches were closed the whole time we were there despite beautiful weather. Seemed too cautious for us. Not as interesting when compared to Atlantis. Good was good but nothing special and everything was a premium price.

Construction at multiple locations within the resort with noises throughout the day. A bit of attitude when calling guest services to inquire about the incoming hurricane (phone hand set not working), taxis arranged by the hotel charged more than double what was posted on their signs, paying resort fees when most of the resort was closed on numerous days during our stay (water park and majority of the pools) while the main pool was under construction the whole time. Water from the facet and shower has a strong odd smell. Food at numerous restaurants on the resort tasted of freezer burn (Swimming Pigs was the only decent place), got food poisoning from a dinner at the Regatta Buffet from their tuna sushi cone, 25% added onto all bills on the resort. House keeping spent 2 hours in our room while we went to lunch to come back to them still being in our room; we went back downstairs for another 20 minutes and returned to our room with the tv on the football game when we left the tv off. Cancellations to excursions made with the hotel when the agent at the “two pigs” shack guaranteed that it would not get cancelled. Areas surrounding the resort were dirty and the cars drive super close to you on the small side walks. The room with an ocean view is more of a resort view with the ocean in the background. The beach was covered with seaweed. The Drift bar was nice but prepare to pay about $45 for two drinks. The water park slides were ok when they were open.
