Best location in Nazare! Basically on the beach. Just streets away from the tram that takes you up to the lighthouse, to see the big waves. Close to a laundromat. Short walk to the bus station too. Breakfast was included and served at a great little cafe across the street. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Something for everyone. Our room was nice and bright. Comfortable bed and bedding! Definitely recommend.

Great beach views

We really enjoyed our stay at By The Sea. Centrally located, room was spacious and clean. They offer breakfast across the way which is quite filling. I do wish they would have offered coffee in their kitchenette, as one morning we needed to leave before the breakfast place opened and there was none to have. Thankfully we found a bakery on our way that was open before 8am. Would visit again

Great comfy stay, rooms are smaller but no issue there. Very nice staff, great location. Breakfast included across the street. Lounge area with fridge if needed. No elevator but no issue depending on the traveler. Would stay again

Location fabulous. If you are a light sleeper, may hear kitchen noises til 11pmish as a restaurant on first floor and at back of property. But sadly, this goes along with having a convenient location. Note, I don’t think there is an elevator. Very functional room. Super clean. Would recommend for a short stay.

We arrived a little early before the hotel was open. We called a contact number and staff cheerfully arrived to admit us. Our room was on the the second floor at the corner with the best view of the nearby beach. The room was small but clean and the view more than compensated. The hotel is steps from the beach, restaurants, and the funicular to take you to the North Shore. We would stay there again and recommend.

Thena was amazing and very welcoming! The inside of the property resembled a ship including staircase and door of the room. Nautical theme decor. Had a shared kitchen area. The included breakfast was at Nata a cafe across from the hotel which had the BEST Pastel de Nata! Breakfast was basic but good! Overall a very quaint property and would definitely stay there again!

I believe it’s not about this particular hotel, but this area is too busy and full of restaurants. It’s noisy until mid night and started to get noisy with rubbish collecting at 6am. Hard to find a parking is an expected issue, but their staff are very friendly and provided good guides.

Very conveniently located by the beach and near restaurants. Area was clean and staff was friendly with easy check in and out. A very cute room and hotel, giving the feeling of being on a boat. Room was on the small side but manageable for 2 people, and with a direct view of the sea. Being near restaurants unfortunately meant the area was quite loud well into the night, and the curtains were not thick enough to block out the street lights, so the room was quite bright and sleep was a bit tough. It was also difficult to find parking, I recommend dropping someone off with the luggage and going to find parking separately.
