A charming hotel!

Cutest boutique hotel! Front desk staff was friendly and even gave us a room upgrade. There was a handwritten welcome note in our room and they took our bags up to our room for us since we were there early. The room was actually ready before the scheduled time too! Great location near the theater and restaurant district. Very nice continental breakfast. There is even a bar/restaurant attached. If we were there in warmer weather we would have also enjoyed the rooftop lounge. What a nice touch. Reasonably priced for NYC. Would definitely stay there again!

For the price and location, I couldn’t recommend Hotel Scherman more. Stayed in the townhouse next to the main hotel; very comfortable bed, room and bathroom facilities. Could maybe do with one or two more power sockets close to the beds but also aware that we use a lot of cables for charging things 😅 If you’re like me and can hear a pin drop in your sleep, can also confirm that it’s very well sound proofed for a central Manhattan location! The bar downstairs/adjacent (Backstage Tavern) is also really good and a nice vibe. Probably not ideal if you have accessibility issues but there’s a lift in the main hotel (stairs floors aren’t the most even in the townhouse), so don’t let that put you off. Would very happily stay again.

A European-style boutique hotel near Times Square

Lovely little boutique hotel on Restaurant Row near Times Square. Very convenient location and relatively quiet, considering how close it is to one of the busiest places in the world. Room was small but well designed. It felt cute, not claustrophobic. Nice Continental breakfast included with great croissants, granola, toast, jams, etc. The rooftop sitting area was lovely, too.

I had a wonderful stay at this property—it was clean, the service was friendly, and staying in a quiet, but central location to Midtown was just what I wanted. The hotel feels fresh, I appreciated the wipes and hand sanitizer located literally everywhere. Being able to leave my bags in my room for storage the day of my departure was also a nice treat. Would 100% stay there again.

Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent staff. The rooms look just as pictured and are extremely clean. I stayed in a double queen, which also included a kitchenette. The staff turns down the room in anticipation for your arrival. The service at this hotel is top tier. Located right in Times Square with a never ending selection of food and entertainment. There are 2 buildings and one does not have an elevator, but if you inform the staff of your needs they are sure to accommodate you. Book this hotel!

Beyond expectations

The hotel is definitely beyond our expectations. We got a free upgrade as a surprise. Even in the winter snow, the roof top balcony is charming as a germ. Staff are very friendly and always with a smile. Facilities are n excellent condition. Downstairs you will find some popular restaurants with a verity of food choices. Definitely want to come back again.
