We decided to stay in a suite for my Husbands birthday before heading to see our race horse the following day. I messaged a few days ahead to ask if it was possible to arrange breakfast In the bedroom for my husbands birthday to make it special. The hotel read the message but didn’t bother to reply, even just to say, sorry we don’t do this. The hotel was dated and although we loved the tradition and history involved with such a building, the attention to detail lacked massively. The bathroom had a huge water stain which looked like it had been there a while and the electrics In the room are obviously old. The lights tripped at 7am and we had to get dressed In the dark, pack our suitcases in the dark etc the air conditioning also temperamental. All in all a very disappointing stay, and the attention to detail at this hotel to make the stay special is ZERO.
