Place felt quite swanky and had a good value for dollar. Location to Saint Bonaventure and the Allegheny River Valley Trail was a feather-toss away. Room was amazing, though on checkout found a few bottle caps and a half-consumed bottle of punch under the couch. Beyond that, it felt clean. Bed was good, breakfast was good, all was good!

We have stayed at the Microtel over the past 5 years while visiting our daughter in college. We have stayed in the suites and really enjoyed them. While we appreciate the upgrades to the rooms, they are not nearly as user friendly. There is no sink space in bathroom, no racks to put a suitcase on and the closet is weird setup. We miss the drawers to put clothes in. We liked the separation of the counter cupboard area and the little 2 people table in the old set up. The new couches are very strange material and not comfortable. Felt like a pre-k room with the layout and look. Just our opinions. The front desk staff is always amazing and should be noted, super friendly and welcoming.

Small but clean

I know it's called a Microtel, but the room was really, really small. I paid a little extra to get a sofa in the room, but it was an uncomfortable window seat and the air conditioning unit stuck out from below it, so it was pretty much unusable except as a place to house our luggage. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the breakfast was a good deal. The bathroom floor was sticky, which was a bit disconcerting. Other than that the room was very clean and a fine choice for an overnight stay.

Place was recently renovated. Its clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is pretty decent with many options. Lots of dining and shopping very close. Seemed like a safe area. Huge university not far. I hate their garbage cans, they are TINY and have no bag so there was trash from a previous guest that probably wouldnt dump out, not a big deal but they could have larger or better cans

No tub/shower combo and noises

I specifically booked a room that listed a tub. I purchased all my cleaning products and some bath bombs, ready for a nice long soaking since I don't have a tub at home. To my surprise you only had a walk in shower. *My suggestion is you change your description that says tub/shower combo. Also our room was located next to the front office, we heard every little thing that went on The phones ringing people talking people running the vacuum in and out of the office people with the front desk, It was not a very comfortable sleep. Very noisy. The door has about a half inch gap though you can't see through it but it adds lots of extra noise from the hallway. *I suggest you don't use that room anymore or soundproof the wall against the office.

This was by far the nicest Microtel I have stayed at. It was newly remodeled and far more comfortable that I expected. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and in good repair. 10/10 would stay here again.
