I haven’t seen any mention on the review that rooms have BLACK mold in the bathroom walls on multiple areas. Hotel is super outdated and dirty. They kept painting the mold over and over but it was still obvious and visible. It has this weird smell. For $240, this hotel was super overpriced. I was expecting at least one part of it to be good. We didn’t even eat there so i don’t know about the food. Pools were super cloudy and dirty. It smelled like very heavy bleach but water was still so ugly i didn’t swim. There is couple water slides had big lines even if there wasn’t much people at the hotel on a Saturday at the first week of June. Tubes were missing. Only 3 tubes per water slide? Should be a joke. Hair is everywhere and slides were broken. 3 slides were out of order. Pay $50 more and go somewhere clean/updated. What a waste of money and time. Kids 15,11 were not happy. 5, didn’t say anything. Don’t go BLACk mold in the room

While the staff at the check-in were beyond excellent!!! They went above and beyond to meet my needs with early checkin and options for us with our late departure!!! The grounds have everything you need and more from Starbucks to a convenient store and all BUT the rooms and way more outdated then the photos online and the cleanliness was not as great as expected.

Water fun for the kids but disappointing hotel

While the water amenities were great for our little one, I'm not sure it was worth it overall. The first room they gave us had a stranger sleeping in it! No attempt to even make that right beyond assigning is a different room. That room then had a broken bed. Another frustration was the lack of towels at the water park area - we waited over 1.5 hours and they didn't replenish them. The little guy had fun, which was the main thing, but as i said not sure it was worth a trip back again.

The kids loved the water park and proximity to the hotel room. I was diasppointed that many of the pictures online had a rose colored filter. The hotel room was a little outdated. The restraunt was more cafeteria style then a restruant and a bit pricey. The food was good but dining area was a bit lacking. Breakfast buffet was good, but also a bit meh. Good enough but the meats were just ok. Juice/milk seemed watered down. Service at breakfast was great but the dinish area needs an update as well. The water park was a blast for the kids. More shaded areas would be nice, many of the chairs and umbrellas were damaged and not being anle to bring ANY outside food or drink made our trip shorter before heading back to the room for snacks. With young kids actively playing they barely stop to suncreen let alone sit for a meal from the restraunts.

Disappointing Stay at Coco Key Orlando - Avoid if Possible My recent family trip to Orlando (June 2nd - 5th, 2025) included a stay at Coco Key Orlando, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience that I would not recommend. From the moment we checked in, issues began to surface. Our initial room was located directly between ongoing construction zones, with work happening both above and below us. This made for an incredibly noisy environment, making relaxation impossible. When we requested a room change, we were moved to what felt like a significant downgrade, which was frustrating given the circumstances. The room itself was far from comfortable. The beds were hard and lumpy, and the pillows offered no support whatsoever, leading to restless nights. Compounding the sleep issues, there were no blackout curtains, meaning the room was bright early in the morning, which is hardly ideal for a vacation. Beyond the discomfort, the hygiene and amenities were major concerns. We were shocked to find cockroaches in our room, a truly unacceptable and unsanitary discovery. Furthermore, basic amenities like a microwave and an ironing board were missing, which are typically standard in family-friendly hotels and were sorely missed during our stay. Overall, our experience at Coco Key Orlando was incredibly negative. Between the roaches, the uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, the lack of essential amenities, and the disruptive construction that led to a downgraded room.

I had been to Coco Key once before with my younger son, but this was the first time bringing my two older boys. I wasn’t sure if they’d enjoy it as much, but they had an absolute blast and said it was one of the best hotel waterparks they’ve ever visited. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back!
