It can be better it can be worse. For the price it can be fun. There is not an elevator and beach front is 2 flights down. Though a minute walk to your beach spot is worth it. Staff was short with wife when we got in but quickly fixed. No issues with construction when we stayed, just a fire alarm for a night. Parking was bad first night but better during the week. Restaurant next door is great and several spots within walking distance. Would come back

The AC unit was very loud and made it extremely hard to sleep at night. The hotel cleaning crew didn't offer to clean our room not even once throughout our 7 day stay. We hinted at needing a broom to clean-up the sand off the floors and they just pointed us to the front desk to ask for one. They did offer us more towels after the third day. There was low water pressure in the shower and our bathroom sink took forever to drain. The hotel pool was heated which doesn't make sense because you're wanting to cool off from the hot and humid Florida weather when getting in a pool. The biggest downside to our trip was all the algae for our last 3 days of our stay(late July) that was near the shore making it uncomfortable to swim in the ocean, which isn't the hotels fault.The rooms were nice overall and the view of the sunsets, beach, & the ocean from the balcony was amazing.

When we got to the room the door was already left open. Noticed it had a hard time closing had to pull it shut with some force. When you walked in the room the smell of mold was noticeable and when you looked up they had mold above the doorway. It’s understanding the place is next to the beach and moisture will occur but the smell was heavy. The shampoo/ conditioner bottles in the shower were empty there was a 2/3 used roll of toilet paper on the holder with no spares in sight. The most enjoyable part of the stay was the bartender at the tiki lounge she was amazing

The property was nice and the room was clean. The staff was nice and willing to help. Pool was kept clean and they sent out text messages when the pool would be closed for cleaning. Overall it was a nice place to stay just steps from the sand.

Toilets did not flush for 2 whole days, when we asked one of the workers for a plunger he said it was all of the hotel septic not working, could’ve used a heads up for that. Bathroom was MOLDY pool kept closing for “maintenance”. The AC had a hard time keeping the room cool, overall was pretty disappointing for the price

One of the 2 beds in our room was covered in sand. Bath tub drain was clogged the entire time even after they fixed it. Black mold was on the walls by the balcony door.

The toilet was filthy on check in and the tub had dirty water in it. I brought this info to the manager and he seemed disinterested… told me I could have just told the front desk but that he would take care of it… no apology given… I went to the pool to allow them to clean the room. I returned 1.5 hours later and it was still not cleaned… a housekeeper came to my room a few minutes later and finally cleaned the mess

We booked this property for the views and they delivered! Good balcony, short walk to pool and beach. The tiki bar by the pool is great and there is a spacious area to lounge near the pool with beach views. The room was decent enough. The balcony was great and the kitchen was basic but got the job done for beach snacks and drinks. They didnt stock it well though. There was a sink but no soap or dish towels provided. When we arrived they only provided 3 towels and no bath mats, washcloths or hand towels. We left a tip for housekeeping and a note requesting more towels, pillows and toilet paper and we were only given 1 roll of TP, 2 towels and a stack of bathmats. They did not sweep or anything and as a family with 2 kids at the beach that was quite inconvenient with all the sand. It was great location and pretty clean but there was room for amenity and housekeeping improvement

This property was kind of gross. It was moldy in the bathrooms. The shower shampoo and conditioner dispensers were broken. I had a room that walked out to the beach beach of course is amazing. However, you can imagine the sand and they don’t provide a room in the room nor do they provide daily housekeeping. They canceled my reservation on Expedia and then rebooked me there. I got to spend a few days right on the beach so hard to complain about that, but an honest evaluation of the facility itself was this was not a good experience and I wouldn’t probably go back there unless I just couldn’t afford anything else.

No elevators. We had to take your bags to the fourth floor dragging them. Beds still had sand in between. No chairs to sit in your own room to eat. All of the drains were really slow. I’m so disappointed because the hotel had nothing to do with the photos online.

The Château is one of the best reasonably priced motels on Panama City Beach. It’s definitely not the Ritz Carlton, but it gets the job done. I like staying here with my son because I can watch him at the pool and at the beach from my balcony. You are literally steps away from the beach. It is also conveniently located to restaurants and entertainment places. If you don’t mind staying in a clean, no frills, older motel, then this is the spot for you. The staff was also very friendly and super helpful.

While the exterior looks outdated, the view from the beachfront room made the experience worth the stay. The staff was great. There was a bonfire on the beach with smores one night and live music by the pool each evening. The only complaint was the shower, which lacked pressure. Overall, would stay again based on experience and price difference from some of the neighboring hotels.
