I hated to give a poor review as the staff working were awesome. Great location too. The issue was with our rooms. No working a/c or heat controls, bad smell of old smoke. We couldn't really move rooms as they were booked out. Hallway carpets heavily stained. My mom's room was the worst of the 3, smelled so bad like an old bar.... stale smoke and musty. The staff apologized and was very courteous. Since we were only using rooms for sleeping and not hanging out in, we opted to just tough it out. IF you only need sleeping space, this could work. Just know what you are getting for the great price

I am an adult individual with personal knowledge of the facts stated in this declaration. If called as a witness, I could and would testify competently to the matters set forth herein. 2. On or about January 3–4, 2026, I was a paying guest at a Motel 6 property located in downtown San Diego, California (the “Property”). 3. During my overnight stay, I was assigned a guest room at the Property and occupied that room for the night. ⸻ Uninhabitable Conditions Observed 4. During the night and early morning hours of my stay, I experienced a persistent and intrusive mechanical noise originating from the HVAC ventilation area located immediately above the entrance door of my room. 5. The noise included: • Continuous mechanical operation after I physically turned the air conditioning system off at the in-room control terminal, and • Repeated clicking or cycling sounds, which sounded similar to an ignition or pilot-like mechanical process occurring within the ventilation system. 6. The noise was loud, irregular, and anxiety-inducing, and persisted for an extended period of time. 7. staff was friendly however overall condition of the motel was disgusting. the elevator had a spill that was never cleaned and just dried up overnight. the hallway carpets are disgustingly dirty and need to be replaced. the room we got had black mold in the bathroom and window of the room. the bed was awful.
