Oh boy, what a disaster. First of all, I am not a really fussy person and usually love a home stay. I booked a superior room and when we arrived, we were given the worst room we had ever stayed in. Nothing like the pictures, it was very run down with a lot being broken and looking dirty. We borrowed a scooter for an hour or so and would pay the 100,000rp the following day.
That evening, the power started going off and on. It would be off for 5-10 mins, then back on for 10-15 mins, then off again. After the 6th or 7th time, I went down and explained that I had a medical device I needed to use and what was happening with the power? They decided to “upgrade” us to a better room with stable power. I was showing my husband the pictures of the rooms, an “expectation vs reality” type thing when I realised that this “upgraded” room was the one I had actually booked. They had put us in the cheaper room, and left the room I paid for available to be rented out by someone else. I was not happy with this scammy behaviour but we decided to persevere. We got into bed and the sheets were so damp, they bordered on wet. We had had enough, packed up, and moved somewhere else. There was no one around so I left the key on the desk and we walked out, now close to 9pm. They rang me the next day to ask for their 100k for the scooter.
Yes, this place was very cheap but I have stayed in places just as cheap that were honest. Avoid
