We had a wonderful stay at the Bygone. It was fun to swim in the pool which was very clean and relax poolside. The hike around the property was nice.

Not going back

We rented 5 rooms and were were disappointed this time. The office was closed Saturday morning until 8:15 and that was late for continental breakfast. Sunday and Monday mornings they were closed completely. They gave us some cards to go to town and get coffee and a pastry but it would have been nice to have it there. There was coffee supplied in the rooms but difficult to find a place to plug it in to. Sunday afternoon we were leaving the pool area (which had the door propped open, and a lady who had just parked her car, and 2 teenage girls, was heading towards the swimming area. The lady said she was going swimming and one of the girls asked if there was a restroom they could use. When asked if they had a room there they said no. So the place is no longer secured. Very disappointed this time and we aren't going back.

Cute little boutique style hotel with a great pool and beautiful grounds. Loved the lawn area with games and all the little deck spots to enjoy a drink on. The sauna was a plus, and so was the little hiking trail. We’ll come back!

A great place to stay very close to shopping and restaurants in Wimberley. Beautiful lodging, very nicely decorated. Had a wonderful view of surrounding area. My friend and I enjoyed a free Mixology class and cooled off in the beautiful pool.

I love the hotel and the grounds. I wish I had known of the trails onsite so I could’ve brought proper hiking shoes. I enjoyed the whimsical property and I would 100% return in the future. We enjoyed the pool and the reading room. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

This is a cute location with a good concept but they had projects going on and stuff everywhere. There was a sewer odor in our room, the view was of trash, junk and misc project items. The dinner and mixology class was cancel at the last minute, breakfast was canceled at 7am, and the room was tiny with no where to put anything. The property is located right off the road and there was road noise all night and you can hear the other guests. It wasn’t what we had hoped and decided to move locations. Staff were nice, good with communication and helpful but some things are out of their control. I’m hope they get their projects done, things cleaned up and issues resolved. It could be a fun place. Hubby and I had a very quick stay; just one night. Our room was clean and perfect for the two of us. It was super easy to check in and out. The only complaint I have is that when we went to get our coffee and breakfast in the morning, the electricity was off and we couldn’t toast our bagel. The view from our room was incredible; serene and tranquil.

Quiet property just outside town of Wimberley. We had a quaint, clean room overlooking the pool. Beautiful view. Excellent air-conditioning and no complaints other than they could use a keurig coffee maker in room. It's a short walk to lobby for free coffee so not a big deal. Lovely, friendly staff and would definitely come back!
