I didn’t appreciate having to pay $12 a night for parking. The location was both awkward (on a one way street) and unsafe — police were called to the hotel. And a fire truck, likely to deal with homeless people. We won’t be staying here again.

Stayed here a couple of nights while having a procedure done at St, Boniface hospital. Great location to the hospital. I felt comfortable in this area during the day but not in the evening. Hotel has some upgrades (bathroom was nicely upgraded) but floor of the room had old carpet and was very “lumpy”. Staff were great. Restaurant had a very tasty breakfast. I would stay again if I had to be at St. Boniface hospital because of convenience. If just staying in Winnipeg for a vacation I would not likely stay here.

What I didn’t like, they now charge 12.00 dollars a day to park. Parking at the Norwood is limited to there parking only, there is no other options. I resent paying a parking fee when the hotel room rate is high enough

This is a built up area. Conveniently located to where I needed to be, but it is a city area and not much greenery. Although it is close to the trails system along the river. I would stay here again

I liked close for early arrival to hospital surgery. I liked staff friendliness and cleanliness and comfort. The tv didn’t work and because staff couldn’t fix it we were offered a new room. We decided to keep our room and they gave a discount. I think if was not so busy a time with fire season this be 5 stars. Will come again. Thankyou

Fabulous Staff At An Old & Tired Hotel

There were 2 things very bothersome about this stay. The first was trying to tell us that rooms had been recently renovated. We stayed here about 8 years ago and they were renovating then. I totally encourage a little smoke blowing about the property but it has to be somewhat true. The air-conditioning sounded like a train because the unit was so old. Secondly, we were asked to pay extra for parking when it was an uncovered, open air parking lot right in front of the hotel. If the money was collected to pay for security it was never communicated. I would much rather see it included in our price. I would like to say that the people who helped us were very fun, friendly and helpful but the age of the property let them down
