The decoration and indigenous artwork makes for a very different experience compared to standard "suite" motels. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The location in the north valley is especially good and San Mateo has almost anything a traveler might want in terms of food and services. If you can get a view of the mountains, the balconies offer something special in terms of enjoying the Sandias.

Unfortunately the pictures and great feedback did not match my stay. Very old hotel and dirty, motel vibes. 3 nights and couldn’t wait to leave. Never will I stay here again. We were able to check in early hotel is not bad for a short stay. We just had issue with the staff, we arrived on a Tuesday we checked in normal at around 10 there was no water in the hotel we couldn’t shower use the toilet or wash our hands. Staff said it was maintenance. The staff knew there would be no water and nobody was notified. We were traveling with a baby and needed water to wash bottles. We were supposed to receive a call from the manager for a credit and the manager never showed up.

The hotel was very Rundown as far as renovations. There was a shower they didn’t t work properly. You had to pull it very hard to get it going It was ckean but so old and outdated
