Hotel Rec is a lovely hotel with friendly accommodating staff. The rooftop bar and pool is a great area to relax, with a drink and a snack and take in the view of the surrounding city. The location was good - near to cafes, restaurants and within walking distance of some of the key sites.

Modern hotel with comfortable king size bed and a quiet room (#2017). Nice view of the city from the roof top. The hotel looks better than their online pic. I would recommend it to friends and family.

Incorrect advertisement of twin superior rooms. According to the hotel these rooms do not exist. Breakfast is ok limited choice a variety of foods unless you want pastry. Pool and bar are very nice hotel location is excellent.

Great hotel, staff were super. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Though this next point is out of the control of the hotel, a reminder for all visitors to be aware of your surroundings and stay safe when out in the neighbourhood. Be vigilant with keeping your personal belongings safe.

Good for a Short Stay” The hotel was okay overall. The room was clean, and the bed was decent, but a few broken pieces ( window, cabinets). Staff were friendly, got through checkout very fast. Great location though—close to public transport and a few decent restaurants.

We spent $450 for one night, breakfast included. The room was rather shabby, wifi ports were non functional, and the room was on the first floor and visible from the street with little privacy and some street noise. The room was rather generic with a plastic ambience that was far below the standard of other hotels in this price range, such as the Pulitzer. The kettle was in a location that did not have a port so we moved it to the floor to use. Not a big deal for a cheap hotel, but not something you expect for $450. The best thing this hotel offers is an open air roof top bar and breakfast which are quite nice. Next time in Barcelona, I’ll choose a better option though.

Hotel REC Barcelona

REC is a good hotel, very conveniently located if you came to Barcelona for a concert at the Palau de Musica Catalana as we did. Close to Arch de Triumph, convenient transportation to major attractions. I hotel is clean but lacks a few conveniences, no mini fridge in our room, not enough space to unpack or hang things. Overall we had a normal experience

The staff was friendly and efficient. The building was in a great location. I loved the environmental friendly theme. Although the room was spotlessly clean, the shower drain was not great and water seeped out of the shower onto the bathroom floor soaking the floor towel.
