Loved everything about the place. Good location, rooms are nice and comfy. The hot tub was excellent, the only thing that stops from a 5, is when we got back from a night out our door code didn’t work. Had to call someone to let us in. It took less than 10 minutes and we were back in. Other than that, I’m sure we will be back!

They have done a wonderful job upgrading the property. The old baseboard heating was very loud when it turned on. Loud clinking that woke me. I would stay here again as it’s very economical and such a great location.

My boyfriend and I went to Canmore for a weekend, it was our first time staying there so I didn't overly know a good spot to stay at. We chose this hotel because it had the best prices in the area for a 1 night stay. It was honestly in the perfect area, walking distance from multiple walking trails, restaurants, pubs, and downtown like stores. A couple downfalls about the hotel, the toilet in our room was not scrubbed inside the bowl at all, the shower was not draining after taking a shower, and the hot tub was very dirty and had a build up of dead skin on the edge of the tub, which bummed my partner and I as we specifically booked a hotel that had a hot tub. Despite the downfalls, I would stay there again! The rooms were super cozy and clean (minus our bathroom) and the view was very beautiful.

A gem in Canmore

The Lamphouse by Basecamp was quite the surprise, as we were not expecting such a lovely hotel for such a reasonable cost. The room we had was spacious, clean, and well-designed, with modern touches and amenities. We were so pleased with the beautiful bathroom and large shower. It was easy to check in, as everything was done online, and shortly before our arrival, we were given a code to enter our room without ever having to go to a front desk. The location of this hotel is also ideal, at one end of the downtown shopping area plus steps away from the river. Such a pleasant hotel!
