This house was beautiful on the inside, but the outside was a mess. Weeds in the flower bed and the lawn was not maintained. We could'nt go in the backyard due to overgrown grass and sand spurs. Upon our arrival, we noticed waters pooled up on the floor next to the toilet in the second bathroom. I informed the host, sent photos they replied back that it was not a emergency and they knew about it already. Since it was a significant amount of water on tile floor I closed that bathroom off due to slip and fall risk for my family and I. I didn't want to spend my vacation time in the ER. The host seem unconcerned. I also ask if they could turn the hot water heater up since taking a shower was uncomfortable to say the least. I have small children and stood shivering in the shower due to the water temp. The host told me it that the water temp was at a safe temp and they couldn't help if we had a different personal preference. Thought host were suppose to make our visit as comfortable and convenient as possible. Not having a bathroom that was safe to use, backyard that we couldn't walk in and cold water was not fun at all! Who wants to deal with all that? The host has only giving excuses and work arounds that it is my problem. VRBO themselves were not helpful. I informed them but they basically said nothing they could do and I should contact the host to inquire about a refund which the host have not offered. Oh and bugs in the cabinet in the kitchen.

Host was responsive and provided amenities above and beyond basics. Property was clean, comfortable, and felt like home. Perfect for our party of 6 for a family wedding. The deck, which is half covered by a roof, provided excellent outdoor space for people to mix and mingle. Deck furniture was very comfortable too.Note: If you plan to use the Murphy bed in the den, be aware there is no door and it opens to the living room without privacy.

All was in order. Simple check-in. I had a question, and she responded very quickly. A great location in a less populated area but not to far from all the tourist spots. Its the first time I tried staying at a residence instead of a nice hotel, and I was very pleased. There were easy directions to follow when checking out. I would definitely stay here again.

Moving from Clermont to Kalamazoo

My father and sister came with me but he couldn’t climb to the 2nd floor so we stayed in VRBO Clermont. We loved the beautiful home we stayed in. It was very accommodating and everything we needed was available. . We hope to be back soon!

The home is lovely and very comfortable. The owner added extra amenities for comfort. The home is very clean. Everything went smoothly with booking, check in and during our stay. It’s conveniently located right across the road from the recreation area of the lake. The large deck has a view of the lake. It’s within walking distance of shops and eateries in Clermont.
