The location was a block from the water and a few minutes away from the fish boil. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. A big storm caused a lot of damage and they were almost finished with the clean up. The room was comfortable and spacious. If you’re lucky to get a cinnamon roll they were delicious.

What a gem! My husband and I had booked two nights at this lovely inn and liked it so much we decided to stay an extra night. Trent, the owner is personable and very knowledgeable about where to go and what to do (he’s a former chef!). He did everything to make our stay perfect. The furnishings are cozy and most everything in the rooms (we stayed in two different ones) is up to date. You can’t beat the location for walkability, restaurants are a few steps away and the view of the water is just gorgeous. We look forward to coming back to the area and staying here!

The lodge wasn't far off the main road, but was surrounded by trees and greenery and was very quiet and secluded. Unfortunately, the pool, which looked inviting, was closed while we were there. Also, there was a sign in the breakfast area saying that pastry was available on the weekend, but it never materialized. Otherwise, the room was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Swimming Pool was closed, tub drain was clogged, bath towel rack fell off the wall and pillows were like baloons. I was given 2 room keys one was for the room next door and the other didn’t fit my room and I didn’t realize this until I returned that evening. After 5 minutes I was able to get the door unlocked. Almost had to call a locksmith.

I really liked this property. The rooms were really nice and clean. Only problem was the outrageous storm so there was a power outage. Wish they had a backup generator so we didn’t have to leave a day early.

The Village Green Lodge is now known as the Wilder Inn, as it has just changed hands. It is a motel, so not super fancy, but it certainly fit our needs. The staff was super nice, pointing out that they just purchased it and were working on lots of upgrades, including a free breakfast...which was basic (oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt and coffee), but, again, enough for us. Our room was a bit musty smelling, so that is one thing I hope they work on. Otherwise it fit all our needs. Totally forgot they had an outdoor pool, which really looked nice but I was unprepared to use it. Location is great, close to Post Office for a fish boil, Wilson's for burgers and ice cream, Anderson dock for a sunset, Peninsula State park for some nature, great views and an evening at the theater.

Very nice and quiet place. We thought it was gonna be closer to water view, but it wasn’t. We did miss not having any elevators to get our belongings to our room since we were on the second floor, but there was a nice gentleman in the office who helped us. ❤️

Superb hotel in the middle of a corn field!!

Our stay here was great! The room was very clean, if a little dated, and the beds were very comfortable. Charming, quiet (adults only), and super convenient walking distance to restaurants and the water. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel will be undergoing renovation this winter as it has new ownership and we look forward to staying there next summer!
