I always say when we stay somewhere its not for the hotel/motel but we do want something clean and safe. Lake Erie Lodge was just that. Its in the perfect location.The man that I talked to in the office while we were there was so nice and helpful. We went on the off season so a lot of things were closed but the things we wanted to do were not far from this location at all. I will definately be looking at the Lake Erie Lodge again when we go back.

When I was able to enter my room with an old-fashioned key, I should have known what I was in for. There were no towels, nor even amy toilet paper. I had to call the hotel to get some brought over. Then I noticed what I thought was a multitude of mold spots all over the bathtub. It turns out those were burn stains from previous occupants. Seriously. Then in the morning when I went to shower I discovered pubic hairs in the back of the shower. But this is nothing for when I discovered human feces (!!!) on the floor next to the toilet! (When I mentioned it at checkout (the guy was AWOL, do I had to wait 15 minutes), all he said was, "oh, sorry man." Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Who knows what other evils lurk in this place?!?

Didnt even stay, would love my money back. Was in the "room" for about 2 minutes. The bed is 3 inches from the parking lot, the brown stains on the matress cover corners screamed bed bugs... but i did feed them... because in the 2 minutes we were there, i forgot my crab cakes there. It was a double bummer.

Great location. Close to Waldameer Park, the lake and restaurants. Was quiet when we were there but it was at the end of the season. Room was okay. Nowhere to hang clothing, not enough towels or soap in bathroom, light fixture was old and one side burnt out, fairly clean but floor could have been cleaner as our socks got really dirty. Staff was pleasant but had a hard time obtaining the $100 cash deposit on the room at checkout. Didn't try the pool but things looked a bit neglected. Looked as if they were remodeling the whole place but not sure. Continental breakfast was practically non existent when we arrived at 9 am. It was supposed to be from 8-10. Not sure if will stay there again.

The rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable, pillows were too full/stiff. There was a restaurant across the street with outdoor live music. The free continental breakfast was lacking. A little unsure of safety factor, took all bags in the room. No issues arose.

The room did not fit the environment. The bed was comfortable, my husband said the shower was great. The room was large but there was another room that shared the same airlocked entryway and physical keys as the room we were in. There was no dead bolt, no peephole or sliding lock on our room door. Someone knocked on our door around 10pm from inside that shared entryway very creepy. Didn’t get much sleep knowing that someone could walk into our room at any moment. This property has potential to be a beautiful place but it would require a lot of ambition and dedication to bring it about. It may be that the current owner is burned out or not there or both. I do not giving reviews if they are negative but I am going to this time because of the safety issues. If you want a good night sleep stay somewhere else.

We stayed here recently and overall had a decent experience. The room was updated, clean, and looked nice. The location was perfect for visiting Presque Isle, and the price was great for what we got. Our kids loved the pool, and it was a nice bonus. On the downside, the air conditioner was leaking. We were told someone would come to fix it, but no one actually did. The beds could have been more comfortable, and my mom wasn’t a fan of the pillows. That said, for the price and location, it was worth it, and we got exactly what we paid for.

Creepy and Waste of Money!

Feels like a ghetto. Don't waste your money. Drive a little farther and pay a little more, trust me! We stayed one night only because it was late and didn't have any other options. Creepiest hotel I've stayed at. The guy at the front desk is it good worker, but not helpful. Told him we needed to leave after the first night and he said he would talk to "his people" , but never got back to us. When I asked him about it again before checkout, he said he would ask, but he doubted they would do anything for me because of the no cancellation policy regardless of reason.
