We were looking for an affordable place on the beach with a pool in a family friendly area for our teens spring break and Enchanted Isle Resort checked all those boxes. Lisa’s communication by text the day of our check-in was fantastic and she even was able to get a room switched to the first floor due to mobility issues in our party (I had asked when I made the reservation and there was supposed to be a note on the reservation to put us on the first floor because there aren’t elevators). The room was exactly as the pictures showed for a 1 BR 1BA apartment with a pool view. It was clean but it is showing its age. The only thing I would have liked was some kitchen basics like salt, pepper, oil and a starter pot of coffee since it is a fully functioning kitchen with a good assortment of dishes, pots, pans, baking dishes, etc. The free on-site laundry after 4pm was a nice surprise. I would stay here again because it’s a great location away from the hustle and bustle and we come for the beach, not to hang out in the hotel room.

Property is located less than 5 min walk from beach, beach chairs are available for free. There are no restaurants nearby unless you walk about 10-12 mins down the boardwalk. Not a big deal but need to plan accordingly if you don’t have a car. Room was spacious but showing some wear. Would stay here again as long as I had a car, lots of parking available.

We were happy that we could see the ocean from the dining room window and it was an easy walk to watch the sunrise on the beach. The place was clean and comfortable. The sofa bed worked well for our son who was with us.

Nice, quiet, friendly place to stay. Great location for beach, groceries and a walking path along the ocean that will tire most people out…. Never understand why hotels cheap out with ancient coffee makers, toaster that’s falling apart and simple other things but I guess they rely on great locations. And that’s why we would go back one day…. You will enjoy this stay!

Couldn't Access Our Room - No Reception

The location was beautiful, just steps from the beach, with a relaxed and safe atmosphere. Most guests were elderly, wintering in Florida, and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was extremely stressful. We arrived at 8 PM to find the reception closed (hours are 9 AM–5 PM weekdays and Saturday mornings). Check-in details had been emailed only 12 hours earlier, but the email went to my spam folder while we were flying. Without completing the required documents, we had no access to our room. After 24 hours of travel, we arrived exhausted at 9 PM without internet access, and the hotel's Wi-Fi was inaccessible until check-in was completed—a frustrating catch-22. The after-hours number posted outside played a recorded message saying the office was closed. Thankfully, a kind guest helped us figure out how to get our keys. Otherwise, we might have left. Once inside, the room was freezing—set to 60°F with no way to turn off the AC. The bed had only a thin blanket and sheet. An alternate after-hours number eventually brought an extra blanket, but we still slept in clothes with towels and coats for warmth. This was a shame because the location had great potential. Poor communication and lack of after-hours support ruined the stay. If you plan to stay here, check your spam folder and complete all paperwork ahead of time. While the location and facilities are worth four stars, I’m giving one star to warn others about these issues.

The cleanliness of the property left much to be desired. During our stay, we found three cockroaches on separate days—some in the bathroom and others in the kitchen. While the location is convenient, about a 17-minute walk to the main Hollywood Theater, the buildings are not beachfront. One building is close to the beach, but the other three are farther away. On the positive side, the staff was very helpful in fixing a mistake we made with our reservation, which we appreciated. However, the rooms are very outdated and in need of significant updates. Overall, the location is good, but it doesn’t quite match the experience of staying closer to the beach.

Enchanted isles has a couple of trouble spots. The floors in our unit were filthy and sticky to the point where fresh white socks turned black and “gummy” within 10 minutes of walking around. As if they were the mop. When asking the office about it, they said the cleaning staff mops with dirty water between units. Which is unacceptable. There was no wifi even though it was advertised. None of our devices ever connected, nor did any guests at the pool. The office breezed it off and said it’d be fixed on Tuesday. I checked out on Monday, I assume it remains broken. The thermostat was inoperative. Set 70° and it preferred 62°. I had to turn off the whole unit or it’d keep cooling to arctic conditions no matter how many times I set 70-72. There were long black hairs all over the room, which as light haired folk, didn’t belong to us. There was dark dirt in every corner of the room. The sheet on the pull out couch was greasy and stained, and the incorrect size for the pull out couch mattress. Everything was dusty and the bathroom has no ventilation for humidity and became a steam bath, which is warping paint on the ceiling. The property itself is safe, quiet and we enjoyed the full kitchen. It’s steps from the beach and you can walk the broad walk easily. Still, the housekeeping issues are a major problem and the staff takes a handoff approach and won’t answer phones on the weekend. If there’s no wifi, you got no wifi. We will not be returning, consider other options nearby
