Charming but a little tattered.

This is an older place, which is both its strength and weakness. I really liked the old fashion staircase from the center of the lobby to the second floor. There was some peeling paint in spots, and the bathroom door wouldn't quite close, but everything was clean and the staff was very friendly.

My husband, myself and 4 teenage girls booked 3 rooms at this hotel because it was near their state softball tournament. Upon entering the hotel we smelled burnt Marijuana. With in hours of checking in and returning from eating at a near by restaurant we witnessed an overdose in the parking lot. We had to call emergancy services and take care of the baby in her car. The baby was very young, and its mother was slumped over in the front seat. Come to find out, the woman and her boyfriend had been staying at that hotel. I was refunded for 2 of the 3 rooms but told to contact Expedia for a refund of the 3rd room. ALL rooms were booked through Expedia. I would like a refund for the 3rd room. I have already asked and recieved no response. We werent even at the actual hotel for more than an hour total, I never even stepped foot in the room. My kids did not need to see ANY of the drug use at this location.

The staff were all great; very friendly. The room was dirty, very dirty. Limes on the floor. Trash left everywhere. There was a pill on the ground. Updates are needed, holes the fridge was missing a leg and falling over. I would give a 1 star but like I first stated the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

I was given comfortable accomodations. The few issues I had with the room were addressed immediately and with considerately. They should probably update some of their amenities. Larger TV's with smart capability would be a start. Overall a comfortable experience.
