Custom built log home with beautiful interior wooden walls. Spectacular view of the mountains !! Comfortable setting with large front porch set with rocking chairs! Breathtaking sunsets galore!!

If you want a private cabin away from the crowd then this is it!! This cabin is tucked up in the Majestic Cowee Mountain Range with a stunning view of the Nantahala Mountains and you are completely surrounded by the Smokey mountains! This cabin is new, trimmed out with seven different species of wood. Custom built cabin especially for a mountain rental! It has two bedrooms with queen beds and a full bathroom downstairs, and with two full beds and a half bath upstairs in the loft. Custom kitchen with cypress cabinets. Most of the furniture and beds are handmade! Franklin is just 5 miles away. Endless miles of hiking, waterfalls, river rafting, and gem mining are minutes away. We even have "pickin on the square" every Saturday night in Downtown Franklin starting in May. This cabin is convenient to Dillard, Ga where there is a new business, Julep Farms, which has shopping, dining, and flowers to pick during the summer! There are a variety of animals to see that the kids will love! We are also very close to Clayton, Ga. This little town has wonderful shopping as well as farm to table restaurants. It’s a great place to spend a day!! The road leading to Highlands, NC is not too far either!! There are waterfalls and hiking trails off this road that are gorgeous!! We invite you to our cabin and hope you will enjoy your visit!! ( No motorcycles please)

Perfectly cabin with an AMAZING view!

We chose this cabin for our mountain vacation because it looked clean and new and appeared to have a fantastic view from the porch. We were not disappointed! The cabin was spotless, it was very nicely appointed and was the perfect place to call home for the weekend. The view was breathtaking - truly BETTER than expected. The road up to the cabin was a little steep in a couple of spots but was no problem for our 2WD vehicle. It was an easy drive to the cabin from the main highway, in fact it was incredibly convenient to get to town and points beyond. Highly recommended - we will definitely stay here again.

The view will leave you speechless!

The cabin was immaculate, the view was breathtaking and it was completely private. The first half of the road is gravel and the second half was paved. It was steep, but we had no problems getting there. The parking was challenging when trying to turn around in a larger vehicle. We were still able to accomplish that as well.

Amazing

This home is unbelievable! The house itself is very clean, cozy and comfortable. The beds are great and the kitchen had everything we needed. The porch has to be the best place because of the spectacular views; we must have over 100 pics from the porch during our stay! The house is fairly central to Clayton, Bryson City, Highlands and Cashiers. Five minutes to Franklin and ten to Dillard. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas. Linda is a wonderful host and will do everything possible to make your stay great. She is very easy to contact also. We can’t wait until we book again next year!

From the moment we stepped out of the car we were impressed with the gorgeous views, cleanliness and comfort of the cabin and amenities. Very relaxing family vacation, spacious for our family of four, fire pit was an added bonus. Great place to rest and reboot.

A true sanctuary with incredible views!

We deeply enjoyed our stay On Top of Ole Smokey. This was the kids’ (ages 10 & 15) first trip to the mountains and they LOVED staying at this cabin. All week we heard, “This is so AWESOME!” and “Best week ever!” This home has everything our family of 4 needed. Ample indoor space to spread out, all you need to cook and relax as a family, and an amazing deck where you can watch the sun sink behind the mountains. WiFi was a little less than optimal for managing our online businesses during our stay, but that forced us to unplug and actually put work down to make memories. (And WiFi connectivity isn’t great in the area anyway, so no biggie.) Every detail of the home is cozy and clean. We hated leaving. Communication with the host was fantastic and check in/out super easy. It was a little difficult to maneuver our rental van around the driveway, but that’s common in the mountains and we got used to it. Would be much easier for sedans and smaller vehicles. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back :)

Perfect View

We had a fantastic time at "Rose Cabin". The view was spectacular. Drive up is interesting, but we had no issues with our rental car ( Ford Excursion). We are looking forward to returning in the fall to see the leaves. Thanks again! The only suggestion is the trashbags provided are too small for the trashcan. A larger bag that fit would have been nice.

Beautiful North Carolina Mountain Top Cottage

One beautiful mountain top cottage overlooking the valley 2000' below, and mountain ranges west of there! As with others, and cannot be overstated, the driveway up is not for the weak, your vehicle will make it up to the top! LOL! Well worth the challenge! I cannot say enough about this cottage and location! Beautiful! If sightseeing, recommend Rainbow Falls, Whiteside Mountain trail and Pickens Nose Trial!!

Family Vacation

Beautiful view and cozy cabin which worked perfectly for our family. I was a bit caught off guard by the drive up the mountain to the cabin as it involves steep gravel roads that were not in great condition and were a bit difficult maintaining traction. We unfortunately were forced to leave a day early due to bad weather and concern over being able to safely navigate the road up and down the mountain in poor weather conditions. Convenient to plenty of fun activities nearby.
