Great location and the staff certainly tried to accommodate me (and were always friendly and professional) but I will never stay at any Hyatt property again. Maybe because I booked through Expedia, so they gave me the worst room available, but I am appalled that they are booking rooms when I know they know something is wrong.
First impression was everything was a little worn but it’s well designed in the public places. We got to the 19th floor and there was an extremely strong odor. I assumed probably a signature scent of the hotel but so much of it I couldn’t breathe. I get to the actual room and again it smells weird but I can’t put my finger on it. My partner goes to turn the AC on to air out the room but it doesn’t work.
This brought me to the front desk (because my phone didn’t work in the room) and they were nice even though I wasn’t being so nice because I was terrified my AC was broken and they stated there were no other rooms in my category available, so I would have to downgrade. The manager and front desk personnel were kind gave $20 in market vouchers, went to my room and it turns out the balcony door was slightly ajar so the ac won’t turn on. I was so relieved!
So I go out for the evening, maybe about six hours, and return to my room and it’s certainly not the temperature the AC is set too but the balcony isn’t the problem this time because the AC is on and running just not cooling the room, Luckily for us a cold front came through so we opted to open the sliding
