After booking, I was excited to stay here but that changed quickly at arrival. First, this unit is NOT ADA/WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. We had someone with disabilities who luckily could climb stairs after taking the elevator, but if they were fully wheelchair-bound, there'd be no way to access the unit without being carried.Next, at check-in, the electronic lock didn’t work with the code provided in our check-in instructions. There was no physical key or backup option. I called the only number listed for the unit on Vrbo and despite notifying the host of our time of arrival 24 hours ahead, I was sent to voicemail over 10 times and left waiting in the heat for nearly 30 minutes. When contact was made, only one of several backup codes worked. I asked for a local contact in case of further lock issues, and was given a housekeeper’s number—not a property manager, though the AOA rules (provided in-unit) require one. Other issues: Moldy washer—strong odor and visible mold in the rubber ring (more mold than can be attributed to climate). Supplied towels smelled mildewed. Also, binder info in-unit conflicted with VRBO info, both places w/ incorrect info than was supplied by host when talked with on phone during lock issue. Was only made aware there was a separate code to access the communities pool when I was on the phone with the host trying to find a code that worked for unit lock. Overall, updates needed w/check-in process and condo info along with better communication.
