The property is immediately opposite Lausanne rail station and between the 2 metro stops. It is very quiet inside the hotel and the bed was extremely comfortable. There is a coffee maker in the room and a carafe for water. The shower is great. The staff are all very helpful, with ideas for places to visit and transport information

Staff were outstandingly professional and pleasant. The hotel is exceptionally placed in the centre of town opposite the railway station. Beyond the hotel’s control there was disruption and noise from construction work and sometimes there was shouting and disruption by people outside the station. This hotel was once a classically elegant building but it is beginning to need a bit of design TLC to bring it back to the standard it first had. Nonetheless it provided a great base for exploring Lausanne and Le Léman area.

Located opposite the main railway station made it easy for my wife and I to use the train to travel to and from from Geneva airport but also to visit Montreux, the wine areas of Lavaux and Ouchy, the port area with ease. The shopping streets and restaurants are all nearby albeit uphill, which does encourage stopping for the odd drink or two Our room was at 5th floor level with a good view over the lake. Whilst clean and tidy it felt a little dated The breakfasts were very good, located in a pleasant airy space overlooking the station which is a rather grand building The staff were all helpful and pleasant and of course multi lingual All in all a good place to stay for 3 nights

Our room on 5th floor had a great view of the lake and alps. Breakfast in cafe on ground floor great. Next to train station and subway, and many bus lines. Free transit pass was fantastic. Great pizza and Italian restaurant just up street, and hotel gave us a coupon for 2 free cocktails there. Use of subway and busses a must. Boat cruise great, get 1st class ticket for more room. Nearby (20 min train ride) castle a must

Just in front of the Lausanne station. Great location to give an easy access to everywhere. The only disappointment was that when checking in, one of the staff told that he would bring the Lausanne Passport Card (free pass for transportation for tourists) to my room in 5 minutes but he never appeared. As it was not necessarily necessary for me, I did not remind him to bring it, but I was kept waiting in the room.

Location is excellent - stone’s throw from main station and metro station. Room was compact and clean and I slept well each night. There was a coffee capsule machine plus a variety of tea bags. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices to suit all diets. Also, the hotel has a large well-equipped gym on the 1st floor. The hotel provided a transport card - very very useful. Thank you. I will stay here again.
