Spoiled by a misunderstanding about breakfast - I thought it was included in the price of the room, it was not. I was charged €19 for a distinctly average breakfast which I of course had not budgeted for and which seems overpriced in relation to the cost of the room. The staff could not have been less helpful or understanding.

Good hotel with great breakfast buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was close to the more expensive shopping strip and a short walk away from main areas. The room itself was spacious, but was very old in it's inclusions - the television was older and didn’t have streaming options. Overall, a good stay for the price.

Clean, friendly, modern hotel.

This is a nice clean hotel, located in a good area. The bed was comfy, the room well maintained and clean, the bed sheets were clean and the facilities and breakfast were good. This was my first time staying there and I will definitely use it again. Gym could do with some dumbbells or free weights, but that's a minor thing as I didn't book the hotel for the gym and could easily do bodyweight exercises in the workout area (which I did). Good hotel!

The room was fine, basic, but clean and with enough room. Bathroom was spotless, bath tub narrow and very hard to get in and out, but lots of strong hot water. The safe required a credit card, with no clue as to charge. Never saw anything like this before. There were two electrical outlets which were enough for our phones and a laptop. Great to have a 120 volt outlet in the bathroom for a night light and curling iron. Check in was a disaster. Instead of releasing rooms as they are cleaned, all rooms are unavailable until 3 p.m. (not 2 p.m. as Expedia advertised). So we arrived at 8:30 a.m., very tired after an overnight flight, with no room. We had no choice but to cancel our afternoon walking tour. We walker around and got back to the hotel at 1:30 p.m. Still no room. By now, there were a number of people waiting for rooms. The man at the front desk was friendly and very apologetic. Said he was checking with cleaning staff but no rooms until 3. All the people at the front desk were kind and very helpful. But we can't remember a worse check in experience.

Choice of fresh air of building site noise

The view from our window was a building site operating from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. - complete with huge crane. Drilling and a delivery from concrete mixer made an horrendous noise and added to the complete disappointment of an eagerly anticipated first visit to Lisbon. Hotels.com should have warned us about this.
