Not value for money

Check in service was not the most welcoming, based on what we paid for the room. The doorman was very friendly. Hotel was, in our opinion, very tired looking, again based on the price we paid. Massive balcony but unfortunately table on balcony was broken and could not be used. Non smoking hotel throughout, including the balcony. Had we known this, we wouldn’t have booked. Perhaps the hotel could make this clearer. Hotel was a distance from Lisbon centre with a lack of restaurants open and ‘vibe’. Bed was very comfortable and lots of space in the room. Shower was blocked but this was rectified by staff. Asked reception for housekeeping service, but was told either come down or wait until housekeeping started at 8.30am. Housekeeping never arrived. It was only to ask for toilet roll! We wouldn’t return this hotel due to service and location.

The hotel was built in the 1920s and has gone though some wonderful renovations. I love the rich walnut woods, the marble bathrooms and hard wood floors. It is very classy.

The rooms were nicely designed for comfort and safety. Our bookin included free buffet style breakfast, which was a plus. The staff were all very nice, friendly and willing to help. Only small concern was finding a little bug within the pillow covers (might have flown in as the windows were open when we arrived).

Art deco property, great location

I loved the place, location, staff on site. Marta was especially helpful. The only downside was before my arrival. If I hadn't phoned 2 days before arrival, there'd have been a serioys problem. Despite a previous msg from the property, the money being paid, there was no record of my booking. It had not been entered on their system. Marta and contact with Hotels.com sorted this out.
